I have a street ported 12a with a set of 51mm IDA Weber's. All motor currently with a Mallory 140 Pro Comp Pump and Mallory FPR. 6an fuel lines feed and return. The fuel pump keeps locking up. I've rebuilt it more time than I can count. I'm pretty sure the gear is out of spec and is the reason it keeps locking up shortly after rebuild.

So I am looking for a replacement. I have decided to go turbo with this car (Hybrid stock T2 Turbo) and I am unsure of what pump to go with... I always read the pump I have was the way to go. But I do not want to go with the Mallory again.

Anyone here have experience with carb and turbo and can recommend a good external fuel pump?

 

I have experience with an MSD 2225 pump and a Mallory 4309 fpr. My tank is a little rusty and the inlet filter I use; Fram G3 isn't always up to catching them all. They wind up in the float bowls. They have not harmed the fuel pump in any way after 800 miles of boosted running.
