10A engine stock dyno



This is in R100 trim, using a manufacturer engine dyno. It is net horsepower as opposed to inflated "gross" horsepower calculation that were being phased out around this time.

yeah there's some mention in the paper I got this from about 60k mile test cycles and such, but I think their tests were not representative of actual driving conditions. And Mazda was still working out the treatment for the early housing chrome surface treatments. It also talks about major problems with cracks in the spark plug area and how they went about addressing that.

well all of the real old guys who knew about the cars before i was born the concensus was they you were lucky to get much more out of those old 6mm carbon seal motors.
