LOL sweet.
|
im glad to hear you sold your blue car. That thing was pure sex if you do not mind me saying :)
I drove past a car just like this in Houston but it was orange and had puerto rico plates on it. Just sitting outside a guys house at about 9:45pm. I drove by the same place a few days later at about 1pm and it was gone. I have not seen it again :( I could tell it was not stock by the suspension. It has a nice rake on it with some bigger tires in the back. |
Why blowthru? What size tire will fit? You said it has a 4 link. Is it a factory 4 link? I dont know what they came with origionally.
|
dude i want one that thing is fuckin pimp
|
DAAAAAmnn that thing is nice lupe. Love punto ochos(rican way of saying 1.8 rolla) lol. good luck with it and hope u run fast times with it.

I have pretty much everything needed for a blow-thru setup so I'm going to give it a try. I have someone locally who has alot of experience with blow-thru carb race cars. I'm trying to find out if a 26X11.5X15 will fit with the stock tubs (I doubt it). I'll probably mini-tub if that's what I need to do. |
Lupe i seen alot of them fitted with 28x9x15 fit under there with no problem. Here is a pic of another nice one i found with the stock tubes still in place

The car in the pic above doesnt look to have 28's. Those look like 26's, mounted on 15's. The tires in the cars above are 29's, 30's, somewhere in that neighborhood. How far inboard do the suspension peices fit? If you are having a rear custom fit with all the brackets welded on, you might not spend much more money changing it to a drag racing 4 link setup. If they are cutting the tubs out, how much more is it just cut the whole floor out?
|
PS, Im excited for you LUPE. Those old Corollas are badass. 600 horse in one of those will KILL you lol. Very nice.

I still have that automatic C4 if your interested?
Do you mind if I ask what type of blow thru system you are going to put together. Just wondering.
Holley? Weber? They all work just fine you just have to spend time on them and tune them just like any other setup. Good Luck |
Looks good Eric, now drag her down to TX and we'll throw a 3/4 chassis in it. ;)
|
TE72 ftw
|
Nice looking car, but why did you drive 40 hour round trip for a basically stock toyota corolla? I mean you're going to junk the engine, trans, rearend, suspension and start over why not just buy a stocker corolla closer to home?
|
Nice!

Also, the car is already fabbed up for a rotary. It came with some performance parts that I can sell and I feel that I got a pretty decent deal on it. |
Nice find Eric.........
Will it be ready to race this summer at Gateway? |

UGH. Well it ain't no 3rd gen :)
|

I highly doubt I’ll be able to get it down to 1500 lbs. That doesn’t mean and I won’t try, though. |
this looks good and cant wait to see it done but i miss the blueness. none the less congrats on the new ride :icon_tup:

wow eric, looks like that last pic of the black car is the way to go. It is the best looking one uve posted up. what color were u wanting to paint it.?
|
Starting the minitub this weekend, 8.8 and 4.56 gears are being delivered on sunday. I'm picking up the new transmission tommorow. I'm trying to decide on wheels. I'm going to run a 15X10 wheel with no much backspace for a deeper dish.
I'm thinking something like this but with beadlocks and a different color of course. What do you guys think? http://www.holeshotwheels.com/prostar_redcenter_700.jpg I'm thinking about going with a Paint/Wheel color scheme like this. Is there a good website about these corollas? I have always liked the boxiness look of these and would trade my rx2 in a heartbeat for this body style.
Well, anyways, good luck on the project, hopefully it will be as awe-inspiring as much as your last one. |

Thats another thing, I can do a 3/4 chassis, or even just get away with a mini tub, but not on my rx2. I just can't cut up my rx2 though.
