I just got done ripping out the motor, transmission and the complete rear suspension assembly today. Hopefully we'll be able to minitub it next weekend.

Picked up the new transmission on Friday.

Had my Ford 8.8 and 4.56 gears delivered today.

I work monday-friday so my only days to work on it is saturday and sunday. :(

I'll try and take some pictures this weekend. Hopefully we'll be able to cut the mini-tubs this weekend. It's going to be a busy weekend, though. Most likely purchasing a home on saturday so we'll see how the mini-tubs go.

The car same right off the trailer and onto jackstands. The motor, transmission and the complete rear suspension/rear end assembly has been removed.

i wanted to know if you think 4.10 gears on my yota truck rear would be too high for this because i already have it in and wasnt exactly sure if i would have to find another

Thanks, the car is nothing now compared to what it should be. 4.10 should be good, most RX7's come with those gears from the factory.

Well, I've decided to cut the mini-tubs out by myself tommorow. I was going to have someone do the minitubs for me but he's not available this weekend.

Should be interesting, I'll be sure to take some pictures.

FYI: This car will be driven on the street as well as the track.

Just ordered the rear wheels.............. Holeshot Holestars, 15X10, 2 7/8 backspace, 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern and the centers are black anodized. :)

I cut one of the tubs out on saturday. It still needs some minor trimming but I'm happy with the way it came out. Picture quality is horrible, I know. Camera phone is all I had with me.

Wheels should be here in a week or so, picking up the tires on wednesday. I need to get the tires mounted on the wheels so I can make sure everything fits correctly before we make the minitubs.

So, im guessin thats a shock and a caliper on the right, but I have no idea what the crap on the left is.

Shock and caliper? Where? All that crap is long gone..... none of the rear suspension/rearend is in the car.

The stuff to the left ? I think you're seeing the exhaust, I still haven't yanked that off yet.

I'm going to finish cutting out the other tub and make it nice and pretty on saturday. I'll post better pictures.

For some reason I thought the picture was taken from inside the wheelwell looking out, but now Im thinking its from inside the car near the steerig wheel, looking at the back of the car. I can see the muffler now haha.)

Where did you order the holeshot wheels from? Did you get em from straight from holeshot or did you order em from tony at the racing store? Im looking to run the same size wheel on my mini tubbed fb and im looking for where to order em from.
