Under half throttle i am getting Light sounding metal tapping coming from engine... Not super loud. Could dirty spark plugs maybe have something burning on them making the detonation? And when the engine has Detonation is it faint or is it Really loud? I was running AM pm gas... then Just filled up with some chevron Plus Still doing it.

 

not sure if you can really get "bad" gas anymore. that **** is regulated like crazy right now so you can rule that out right off the bat... other than that idk. lets get some rotary legends to explain the metal sound

 

sounds like pinging from a piston car to tell you the truth...

 

Detonation is really faint more like feel than here you can feel it ......

 

No cant feel it..
My car seems to have two personalities.
one day it will run rich and revs slowly and Pops when i change gears...
And other days it has PEP but runs warm and Tons of power... Just dont get it

 

Found Problem... Drive line was Crackin.. changed it at a fellow rx7 members house... Thanks agian...
