i haven't given up in my battle. I now have 13k to spend, maye a bit more but nothing over 14k.

so if anyone is willing to part with a relatively clean FD (as long as it wasnt totalled i dont really care if it needs body or interior work) in fact, i would prefer it to need a paintjob so that we can negotiate price since i need to repaint the car or reupholster its interior for a senior project.

please somone!! help me own my dream car!!!

Do you have 13k cash or are you planning to finance the car and you're approved for only 13k?? Cuz if you got 13k cash you could drop a nice down payment and finance the rest, having plenty $$ to finish the interior

 

thanks, but the only reason i didnt post there is because i need it in my area, i cant really ship a car across the country. nor can i drive there to pick it up.

i have seen some fds go for 13k on autotrader/ craigslist before, but not recently when i can actually get one, so i thought id ask around locally on the forums.

 

It's possible, but it may take time. I looked at several FD's before buying mine 3 years ago for $13,500. 54k miles and it was in the best shape of all the FD's I looked at that people were asking 17-19k for... Not to mention had 25k+ miles less than all the others!! SO I guess you could find a good deal like I did, I just believe it's more difficult as the FD's value has supposedly been appreciating over the last couple of years

 

^^ i hope so, because reselling would be wayyy nicer to deal with then. just hope i can find one before it gets too out of hand.

After being a dick in your first post, lol, Im selling mine for 12k. Just look at my thread. Its worth over 15, so its a steal....

 

Worth over 15? Doubt that. Almost every FD goes for 12-13k, even heavily modded cars. For 15k that car better be spotless.

 

Shipping across the country isnt hard or expensive. I just got my FD from Oklahoma. I think total it was like $936.00. My dad got his Z06 from detroit and had it shipped, think that cost right around $1050.00. If I were you, I would find the nicest FD you can afford in the forsale section, then get it shipped. There are not many FD's up here in the NW worth buying.

 

Well, I would'nt buy any FD unless I could inspect it myself. How many times have you read...."I just bought the car, and it uses coolant. Whats wrong with it?" Avoid the shipping, and just keep an eye out. CJ

 

Yea, I kinda lucked out in that regard. There were a few people I have known/mods that have personaly worked on the car and vouched for it. Well good luck.

 

there is one that i drove by in Bothell a while back. i believe its an r1. i stopped to get some info on it and a dude came out if the sitty little trailer that it was parked infront of to see why i was in his yard looking at the car. he spoke little english but what i got out of the conversaton was that it is his brothers car and he is in the navy but he would be willing to sell the car. by the looks of the house if you showed up at the house with 8k in cash im sure the the dudes eyes would light up and he would gladly give the keys up. the car needed some minor body work but the engine looked clean and well as the interior. just thought i sould tell ya sence you were looking for a deal and you don't mind a little body work. if your want more info just pm me

Call Bothell Imports last I talked to them they had a FD for sale nicely modded about 65k on miles for a good deal . . . give them a shot. Let him know you heard about it on the forums - he will ask.
