Woodinville Monday Night Meet - Your Formal Invitation
Woodinville Monday Night Meet - Your Formal Invitation
Hello Northwest RX-7 Club!
Some of you may remember me, some not. Fortunately, that doesn't matter for the purposes of this thread...
What I would like to do is extend a formal invitation to all my fellow rotary engine powered vehicle friends to join my Subaru friends for a weekly meet which occurs every Monday night in the Woodinville area at 6:30 PM at various restaurants. We hang out, look at cars, and eventually sit down to eat as a large group. Its a good time!
As for my involvement, I own and operate a Northwest specific Subaru forum, which came about as a result of a group of auto enthusiasts who wanted our own area away from the politics and crowded feeling of the larger national Subaru forums. The reason I mention this is because as enthusiasts, we are open to any and all vehicles. New, old, unique, show car or not. We regularly have discussions on a variety of vehicles, and can see the finer points in them all.
Basically, what I'm getting at is, we aren't the stereotypical group who reject any but their own kind. Its a good group and we are always looking to have more people come out.
That all said, we would love to see some new faces, and I would love to see some more rotary powered cars from the area since I've been out of the rotary world for a while!
Here's to hoping to see you out there!

Yup! I posted that from my phone, I just got home to add the info for tonight because the original poster hasnt had time to update that first post yet on my forum.
Tonight we will be at Sushi Connections in Woodinville. Not everyone likes Sushi (including me most of the time) so some of us eat before, or walk to Taco Time across the street, but its still fun to see some cars and meet some people.
Heres a link to a map:

We normally get there around 6:15 - 6:30 (Im ususally late), and we stay until everyone gets bored and wants to leave, typically 8 or later. Occasionally there are drives after down through the back roads, but not always.
I will be keeping my eye out for RX7s tonight and I will be sure to walk over and say hi if I see any show up. I will have my white 83 GSL there, so that might help you pick me out of the crowd too. I may or may not have my STi swapped WRX there also, depends on if my girlfriend wants to come and drive it down for me.

We dont "usually" eat anywhere per say, but we do eat at Mi Tierra every so often.
Thanks to everyone who showed up, I was pleasantly surprised! We had 5 new people come out tonight. 4 factory rotary powered vehicles, 1 formerly piston powered and now rotary, and 1 formerly rotary powered now piston. All 3 generations RX-7s, plus RX-8s!
Hope to see the same or more next week!

LOL, that was mine... trade? Sure, if you hand me a $10K deposit, cash.... or a roller, a drivetrain & $10K.... or a roller & $15K.... and you can keep it. or... I Know a shop I can send you to.
I have over $11k in the swap, a pile of broken & 'attempted' stuff, plus the labor. Including 2 transmissions, 2 torque converters, full drag slicks, full suspension, 2 t2 diffs, and all the other mods.... and only $500 was the shell. To say the least I've 'learned' a few things along the way.

Like i said I'll continue to make it to these meets and hopefully bring some of my other Subaru friends. Eventually the seven will be done in about a million years. Till then Elky time, hopefully washed.
Monday the 2nd we will be meeting at Mi Tierra in Woodinville at 6:30 PM. We usually park around "back" away from the restaurant so we can all park together.
