Wiring help

Been having some long-standing issues with the wiring (in general) on my car (stock harness to JDM engine). I know that I'll drive myself mad trying to muddle thru things and do this myself so I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a reputable person that would be able to do this for me and do a good job of it.

Obviously there are some budget issues, meaning i dont want to spend, say, 2k on this or anything if it can be avoided.

Anyone have any advice? It would sure be appreciated!

For $2k you could have someone install a haltech e11v2 for you. O.o Be logical, find out what your problems are, trace them back, fix it, done.

Thanks for the replies!

car is a '90 S5 FC, previous owner did a swap with a JDM engine, and the wiring (so far as I can tell) is a mess. I have a whole bunch of issues that seem to be related to the wiring, (dash lights flickering, random starting issues, power drains) however, I'm not a pro and don't really know my head from my @$$ when it comes to wiring.

I guess it just makes sense to get the wiring issues that I have fixed before doing further upgrades. On the upside, I do have some $, however, the haltech wouldnt necessarily take care of the wiring behind the dash/console, correct?

sounds like u need an alternator more then wiring help. make sure u have good ground connections, a good battery, and a good alternator then start tracing your problems from there. make sure your ignitor is grounded good. if ur having dash light issues its probably a loose connection. try those first then go from there. later

I would completely get rid of the JDM harness, and plug in a stock harness. You can even make a NA harness work very easily. I have been through about 4 or 5 cars in my rx7 history, and I have changed harnesses successfully and easily through almost all of them. Read up, it really is simple. Ditch that harness all together and start fresh. Trust me I learned from fixing guanico's atrocity, it is 10x easier to start fresh than fixing something that someone who obviously has no clue what they are doings install.
