Who wants to help me with my nikki?

Okay.. 2nd gen guy... got a 1st gen with a fresh rebuild that I cannot for the life of me get working... Its a full rebuild.. new housings, new seals, new t-stat, new fuel filter, rebuilt carb, etc... I hate carburetors and would LOVE to have somebody come over and show me how its done!

Any help is appreciated... and I'll supply the beer!

Well, if you know anything about carburetors, specifically nikki's... Your visit is much welcomed... I just went and picked up ingredients to delete my vacuum harness/spider/emissions. The less crap to give me vacuum leaks and crap like that. I'll probably do that tonight.

Hey Micah, still having carb problems? Nikkis are a bitch when they don't work right. I bailed on mine and got a Weber. Oh god what a difference! By the way, do you still want that flywheel, it's all cleaned up and touched up the friction surface. Still $ 50.00. Let me know, Chris 503-250-3906.

Sorry fellas.. been insanely busy lately.

I need to get a couple other problems on the car ironed out first... having a problem with my rear axles... anyways.. I'll get back on this thread when I'm ready for nikki help, and I'll PM RW-7 when I'm ready.

Thanks everybody

So.... turns out I'm not completely going insane...

RW-7 came over to my house to help me with my Nikki... and while we got it better, it still lacked a LOT in the way of driveability. Turns out.. I must have done something wrong on the carb rebuild... because I just pulled off the nice shiney new rebuild-carb and put on my old nasty funky rusty "who knows" carb.... car runs like a dream now. LOL. Also gave me a chance to remove that stupid shutter valve (it kept SHUTTERING closed under load.. hehe).

So, now the only big problem with my car is that stupid grinding noise around right hand turns. Gotta fix that.

But, good news.... the car idles solid @ whatever I make it. (Currently 500rpm).

Thanks RW-7 (Robert) for all of your help. Let me know if you need help with your S5 stuff.
