Just curious as to where everyone else takes their RX7's for parts and maintenance....? I do everything thru Stage Performance in Kirkland, WA... They do all my maintenance, body and paint work, and ordering all my parts... Very reliable and I recommend them to anyone looking for a GOOD shop cuz around here they are hard to find!

Myself. Although when I was a n00b I found Andy occasionally helpful.

I dont have the time, but I do have the tools. I do it all myself, with some fabrication help from my father.

In my garage... I've done everything to my car. When fab work is needed, I go to Fairlady Motors.

I don't think there are houses within 100 feet of their new location... They moved over by the Suby dealer on 116th in Kirkland. No longer on 85th across from Lee Johnson.

You're not a real tuner if you take it some where. You're just an enthusiast... But if you need something out of your league done, and you're smart you'd take it to Andy @ Mazdatech. He is the ****. He tought me a bunch about cars when I lived in front of his shop.

my garage. . . or a friends. For the amount of **** that goes wrong on 7s, I couldn't imagine paying for work.

Myself, I eventually figure it out.

I highly recommend West Werks, though. One of my friends is part owner, another works there. All certified techs and one of them owns 2 rx7s.

My gararge / shop, my workshop manuals, the forum and internet, and a number of knowledgeable key individuals whose brains I pick is my recipe for doing my own work on my 7. I agree with TWILIGHT SLIDE, it could be very expensive if not cost prohibitive to pay someone to do the work for me. Besides, working on the 7 is a labor of love which I find therapeutic, stimulating, and enjoyable despite some of the frustrating issues I sometimes encounter. Then again, I dont rely on the 7 as a daily driver.

I always do my own work. I cant trust anybody with the temptation to take my car out for a joy ride. The only time my car gets touched by any mechanic besides myself its at the body shop. Mechanics on these cars are not hard at all, especially with the help of this forum. ****, i did a motor rebuild on my last fd when I was still in highschool. This forum was a lifesaver though, through searching I am yet to not find the answer to my questions.
