**I THINK** it's $600 for each adult and $300 for each child, but only if you made less than $100k if you're single or $150k for a couple.

Then that "should" apply to me, single 24 and under 100k...
wheels would be nice, or maybe tint or some suspension parts

first the bill has to go through the senate and congress..... word has it the democrats are trying to add riders to F it up.... as always.

when/if it gets here........... (and assuming these aren't still on backorder)....drag wheels- 15x5 front (11.5 lbs) & 15x8 rear (13 lbs).

I won't get any of the money since my wife's and my combined income will be over the 150k limit (at least on paper). Too bad I can't write off my principle payments for the business.

But as Huckabee pointed out at the last debate, the US will borrow the money for the rebates from the Chinese, then US citizens will go out and purchase Chinese products from Wal-Mart. The only things that will get boosted are the Chinese economy and Wal-Mart profits. Neither of which do our economy any good.

Simply put, the rebates won't do much good for the economy unless it serves to calm some of the public fears about recession. Many of you are probably too young to remember, but this exactly what derailed George Bush Sr.'s second election that he lost to Clinton. He told the truth, that we were in a recession, that is was too bad, and that it would eventually go away. Clinton was characteristically smart and blamed it on Bush. The voters don't like to hear the truth and would rather hear "fairy tales". President Bush went from having one of the highest approval ratings in history to losing the election in the space of a year.

You will get it when you file your taxes (if it passes). It is a tax rebate, so you apply just by filing. If you earn too little to pay taxes, then (thanks to the Democrats) you will still get a rebate check. In other words, free money just for being too stupid or lazy to actually get a job.

IF I got the money, I'd pay someone to detail my FD. The paint is in really sad shape. Anyone know of a very good detailer in the Tacoma area?

Yeah, Erik is in Edmonds. He will bring the best out of you paint job that is possible. All he does in the winter is work on RX-7's so he should be able to do it pretty quickly with no normal day job to worry about.

I did not know about this $$$ until now. It will probably just go into my savings account or an extra payment on the ZX-6R.
