i found this useful information in the temp lounge on what happened.
Ryan sold the forum to a company called Internet Brands...
They didn't like the direction the lounge was headed, so draconian rules were put in place... Onlyonthurs was deported for posting a picture of a girl... Fully clothed mind you... And EatMyClutch was executed for posting a chick in a thong. Everything was censored, even words like poop and darn had to be sanitized.
Later, shock collars were installed on all of us, and our vehicle's ECUs were used to monitor us. Those of us with carburetors were banished to NoPistons... It was horrible.
A small group of rebels grew on TheForumLounge. We recruited more and more banished members. There was a coup de'tat. Batman was freed from solitary confinement. He and YZF joined forces. Even Eric Cheatham and Mr. Akimoto were dug out of the grave to fight. A long, epic battle ensued. I lost an arm and my right leg below the knee... Our brave generals gave their lives and you won't see much from them again. But eventually we took back the forum.
The lounge, the West regional section and the 2nd gen Parts for sale section took heavy collateral damage from various nuclear and chemical weapons. There are hazmat and reconstructive teams working on those as we speak.

lol yea that sucks i remember scrolling straight down and clicking on the (where it usually is) 2nd gen parts and starting lookin at fb stuff.. i was like wtf, i just read somewhere that it crashed or something
