yeah my license plate is a bit low. the lip is off a 90-93 honda accord. i don't which year or trim model exactly because the donor car was pretty gutted.

@get0ut, i'm a big fan of those sc wheels, what size rubber you trying to squeeze under there?

Got my Racing beat turbo back into my "new" vert. Going to get a bung (hehe) welded in it this week for the wideband.

new spark plugs and wires, FD alternator install, coolant change, oil change

over the weekend i did a poly bushing swap with zerks, replaced diff emojnts with comps, added a pinion snubber, dtss eliminator, new wheel bearings, ball joints, and some stickers.

still needs an alignment but god damn did that all make a difference. i did a 100 mile shake down tonight and i'm really impressed with the new tight suspension vs. the worn out 20+year old shit.

FD alternator is in, put the old bumper back on so I could take it for a drive. Talked to Joe Maddox about my windows/motor issues, and found out he has a Mariah bracket for my front spoiler, so he's sending it to me just for shipping cost. That should make mouting it easier.

I got the half bridgeport running today.

I'll be doing a stock or mildly ported S4 NA engine the middle of next month or so. It will most likely have a GSL-SE oil pan and 12A front cover to fit in a 1st gen. :) Or if one of you FC owners needs an S4 NA, bring over your front cover, oil pan and pickup tube. I don't have any FC ones here. :)

These are fun engines to set up. I've got a custom Nikki intake to make it driveable without an ECU or fuel injection stuff, and that's how I intend to test run it to make sure it's a good runner.

Swapped out the front pads and rotors. Took twice as long as it should have because i had to drill out the broken set screws in the disks.

A buddy of mine tried to use one of those on his rotors for his FC and the bit shattered on the second hit. I was pretty damn surprised. lol. He eventually got it out though.

^^ I actually destroyed the bit on my impact screwdriver when trying to get those screws out of the rotors on my 8. I suspect harbor freight quality as the problem.

my screws came right out??? did you try pb blaster first?

^^ It totally depends on the car man. Sometimes they come right out, other times not so much.

PROTIP: there is no need to reinstall these screws ever. The purpose of the screws is to keep the rotor on the hub when the car is being assembled in the factory. That's it. You can remove the screws, because once you reattach the wheel, it is doing the job that screw used to do.

PB blaster is useless as these screws usually sit flush on the rotor, therefore, the liquid can't even reach the threads. An impact screwdriver is the only way most of the time.

replaced my BAC with a known good one, now my bouncy idle is all sorted. also put in some pineapple port inserts and found a vacuum nipple that the cap had rotted away on. idle is nice and solid now.

Today I am still in the process of cleaning, assesing and hand picking salvageable parts on my engine to start my rebuilding saga.

installed new ajustable rear shocks & 3/4" ajustable rear swaybar :icon_tup: wow wut a diferance,:egrin: but unbalanced ( front not done yet) (coming soon)

I "fixed" my air conditioner clutch with an extra thick washer. now it actually stays off after I run the AC and doesn't make that horrible grinding sound. Hopefully this fix will last until Autozone's supplier gets the replacement clutch back in stock.

Put gas in it. :icon_tup:

Got a bunch of new parts in the mail... waiting for when I get home. :-)
