wet interior and a parking garage and not driving for 3 weeks... HELP! :(

What do you get when you mix a Vert with a bad top, wet interior, a under ground parking garage and no need to take a drive it for 3 weeks? F*** MOLD!!! I thought I had cooked the car dry... I was wrong!

So now I am vary much in need a new interior, I cant even sit in the damn car cuz the seats are all fuzzy, the E-brake is fuzzy, the stearing well is fuzzy, the dash and doors are fuzzy, the carpet is well fuzzy and its not the good kind... the whole damn inside is fuzzy and don't even get me started on the smell.

I am almost all out of cash so I have nothing to pay with. I hate to ask for freebies but I really don't have any other option she is my only car. I need help guys I cant drive her like this, any suggestions or help at all will be vary appreciated.

Thanks
Zane

Your interior just needs to be cleaned with hot soapy water. Had same thing happen to my 7 from sitting out side for 3 months. seats, dash, carpet, and door panels had mold all over. Just clean it up real good and you will be fine.

No need to waste cash/time on new interior. I also had same **** happen to my vert and i just took out the seats and puld the carpet up and soakd up all the standing water and shampood it up real good .

How about the smell, did that go away? Not that the normal smell of a RX7 is much better haha But did it stick to the top and keep smelling? I have never seen mold grow like this... just kind of freaked me out how fast it was, on day there was nothing wrong... next fuzzy!!! Ya just a crappy way to end good weekend.

you need to mix an antifungal solution into the steam cleaner as well as a "new car scent or what ever you like, and if you can afterwards, place a small circulating spce heater in the htchback and let in run for a couple hours supervised. It'll get hot as **** inside, but it helps accelerate the drying process. Good luck, it's alot of elbow grease, but if you do it right, you'll end up with a near new looking interior. If it got really bad, you may also have to remove the panels and etc. inside and clean the backs as well.

yeah u can clean mold off, i mean if it was molding for like a year, it might permintly damage ****, but a couple weeks u can pretty much wipe it away.

id use some kind of cleaner for mold, but that wont eat plastic/cloth/leather

My car seems to leak somewhere when it sits in the rain overnight. but its been sitting for 2 years and still has no mold. where would it be leaking from. drivers side seatbelt gets soaked. I had a bunch of dirt and leaves in the hatch seal blocking the drains but I cleaned those out, and don't think thats the issue with soaked seatbelt.
