BC Westcoast Rotary Sevens Day Events - Harrison Lake Cruise!

The July 7th evening cruise is always a popular among our Westcoast Rotary Sevens Day events. Cruise will feature a charge out Freeway 1 as the sun sets on the Coast Mountain Range., a coffee stop at historic Harrrison Hotsprings, then a day-turns-to-night twilight "touge" on single lane Highway 7 with some steep twistees and wonderful sweeping turns through the farmlands and foothills between the Mighty Fraser River and the threatening mountain slopes.

Visitors to the Lower Mainland might want to stay over and attend the huge all-makes welcome Weissach Spanish Banks meet at 8:00 a.m. on July 8th.

As discussed above (and below) our main Seven's Day event will be held in conjunction with the VCMC AutoX event at Mission Raceway Park on July 16th. On-line registration for the AutoX should open very soon. Our part of the event will run from 12:00 (noon) to 5;00 pm. AutoX check in may be as soon as 7:30 am..

Robust turn out for our third annual Harrison Lake Sevens Day evening cruise!

7:00 pm July 7, 2023 getting ready to set out for the cruise.

Most years since 2015 we have met at Langley Cineplex as starting point for our Sevens Day cruises. White FB was up from Lynnwood. Burn-out marks are from those V8 guys, I swear. One FD came in from Nelson, B.C., a glorious drive through the Western Rockies!

Pit stop at Bridal Falls Petrocan. Cooling the turbos before heading into the mountain passes. Setting sun hitting the peak of Mount Cheam. Running out through the valley, Mt. Baker (our very own Mt. Fuji) glowed white, wthile holding winter snows.

Destination Harrison Hotsprings resort town lakefront. Nice representation of FB & FC.

Gap in the mountains allow late evening sun into the town. It was dark as we left, but Highway 7 was recently fully repaved, lines painted and lots of reflectors on posts to guider the way. Dramatic "touge" with line of cars lights stretching over a kilometer. Almost a private highway for 60 kilometers.
