Well don't I feel stupid....
Guess the saying of "another set of eyes always seems to do the trick" does mean something. I've been FB'less for the past forever for a supposed to be 2-3 week engine transplant. Problem ran into problem and my only days off being Sunday and Wednesday and working 11 hour days caused a lot of problems. I officially got my car running in early october but was never able to get it to run or idle at all. After trying to get 1 professional technician, 2 people starting a rotary shop to come out and then making excuses, I somehow con hornbm and kompressorlogic to come out from Kent to Bremerton Raceway area to help me out.
Turns out that the elbow after the MAF that was supposed to be airtight -wasn't. AN AIR LEAK! THATS WHATS BEEN HOLDING ME UP!!! ARRRGGG!
So I have to tow it down the hill to the local mufflershop and have a custom made mandrel bent intake tube made along with fixing an exhaust leak and welinding on my tip). Oh ya a downside to it was at the end of the test a coolant line starts to take a **** on my firewall. Just a small leak but the one from the rear iron to the throttle body-ya know the one you have to remove the UIM to replace. Oh well.
I really want to thank you both again very much! Matt set me a deadline of the 14th of December (next Izzy's meet) to have it finished and done and my butt at the meet chowin down with the rest of ya.
