Angry Weird Charging Problem

Well I'm at my wits end!!! Load the gun Melody I'm on the last step of Troble"SHOOT"ing.

Ok here is the problem:

Oil Level light on (Oil level good).
Gen light On (not charging).
Coolent level light on (Coolent level good).
alternator NEW.
Voltage at B terminal is 16+ volts.
Voltage at battery 12V (battery voltage only).
Replaced Regulator with Know Good one (Used) going to try new one tomorrow out of desperation.
All 4 Fusable links Good (Checked with Ohm Meter).

Any Ideas????

Headed for bed now, if anyone thinks of anything CALL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better be (LOL) brand new yesterday. It's making voltage just needs to be regulated and sent to the battery, for some reason something is interupting the process.

Put your V meter on the post behind the alt, the big one that gaoes to the battery at a fast idel, 14+ v. is what you want to see, if it's 12v then check the pig tail going in to the alt, but you said you put on a new reg, so what year is this car, since it has fuse links it must be a early model, more in fo needed

check and see if there is a connector for the alternator charge wire at the drivers firewall. It will be next to where the engine harness plugs into the body harness below the master cyl.
I had another car that had the same problem this fall. the voltage couldnt get through the corroded connection.

Well the new regulator solved the problem. Everything is wonderful now. Unloaded the gun and everything.

John I checked that connection you were talking about and it was corroded so i cleaned it up too. Also put new plug wires on and solved the arking trailing coil problem too.

I'm a happy guy again. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!

Glad that everything is ok Allen. I still have that polished alternator if and when you want to bling bling under your hood.
