Sup All My Uber Rx7 Friends!!

Yep i'm back and, well i'll try my 14th attempt at keeping this car. I can honestly say that this is the nicest Rx7 that I have ever seen, it's even nicer then my very 1st Rx7 way back in 1999, that I put the Delorto's on, and I thought that was the nicest one around, well I guess I was wrong.

So I was looking on Craigslist.org, and found this car posted Yesterday at 5pm, I immediatly called the guy, and offered $500.00 Cash site unseen. I drove up to Lynnwood, pouring down rain, and test drove it. Got back and offered $300.00 and he went for it. He said "Ya, I think $300.00 is fair, as I never drive it, and it just sites in the garage".

So here I have a 1985 Mazda Rx7 GS (ya thats right no sunrood, but more on that later). 115,021 Miles, Original Owner, Clean Title. The car has never been in a wreck, it has NO dents or scratches of any kind, and the paint is near perfect. He said he had it garaged it's intire life. It has all the service reciepts from the dealership, and he never took it anywhere else.

This is the 1st Rx7, where i've seen EVERYTHING work. And I mean everything. The stock radio sounds like it was brand new from the factory floor, all the lights work, wipors, interior lights, heater, ac, ect. It all works. The engine bay is completly stock. At 100,000k, he replaced the Radiator/Hoses/Alternator/Starter/AC compressor/Exhaust. So basically this guy didn't hold back on keeping it kept up.

So it's a baby blue color. The interior is perfect, only defect is it is missing the rear hatch carpet. The interior is a Black/Grey combo with a Black Dash. Headliner is in perfect condition. The center console lifts perfectly, and the rear compartment doors are fully fastned. The hatch struts are brand new.
So basically it's a perfect car in Mint Condition.

I don't plan on stripping it at all. I'm going to take the emissions and AC off, but thats normal for any sane Rx7 owner. A CD player and stereo is a must, and I'll probably go for the Dual Dellorto setup as I did on my 1st car, as well as the Full Racing Beat Exhaust system, but that will be it for modifications on this car, this one is just way to nice to mess up.

The 1975 Lincoln Continental Coupe in the Background is also mine, so if anyone is interested in buying it, it is up for sale $500.00. It's got 84,000K original miles, full leather interior, and a 460 V8. It runs very strong and is in great condition.

 

Welcome back Ben. Nice car. Be careful though. I hooked "someone" up with a car that nice once. This person had a history of destroying 7's, and he promised he wouldn't with this one. Well, one thing led to another, and, I guess, someone bumped the refrigerator, knocking the tractor bucket over into the car, putting a huge hole in the side of it. Now, how all these items happened to come together in the same vicinity is totally beyond me. My point being, be careful where you park it.

I really dont' have a choice as to where I park it, unfortunatly I live in an apartment where the neighbors try to get anything for drug dealing. I'll be putting 2 different alarms on this car, as well as hooking coils up to the driver and passenger door handles, with a warning sticker. No one is going to steal this one, this one is MINE. LOL but yes I understand about the "being careful" i'm going to do everything in my power to keep this one nice.

 

hell yeah. now this is what i needed to get motivated. great to see you back. i guess i'm gonna have to get off my *** and put the damn motor in i had sitting for a few days.

Have you considered just keeping this one the way it is and not screwing with it?
If you get bored , take it out on that ford and paint the dash white , or primer up the hood or something. A nice rx7 is worth keeping that way.

Don't worry I am out too except that I race an RX-7 all the time, I guess racing someone elses RX-7 is a lot better than owning one because its a lot cheaper haha.
