Yep, did a aquamist 1s kit on Cartapex's FC and I plan on doing a Aquamist HFS-5 kit on my FD later this year.

I just installed a Snow Performance Stage 1 kit on my S4 TII engine in my GSL-SE. Still tuning it. Got is through Summit for $250+handling fees and it was delivered in two days.

What is that gold heat wrap material, and how effective is it?

I run the snow performance kit on my s/c gsl se. The key is tuning, it alone does not add power, but it does give the potential for more timing and cools the intake charge to reduce detonation. Make sure you have a level sensor and worning, 'cause if your tuned for it and you push things to the max when you run out, pop goes the motor. The buick guys have been using it for years.

It's gold reflective heat shield material and it does a pretty good job of preventing heat soak.

ofcourse theres a power diff. you can run more timing and more boost like said above due to lower intake temps and the nice dense charge that comes along with it.

Cartapex did experience more torque in the mid range and a few more horses, but his setup is not tuned to the AI, merely a pre-detonation prevention setup.

Just curious if the Water/meth can be turned off when not needing the extra boost?

Depends on your goals are and how much reliable power you want to make. I would say it would be smarter to go single and do AI. Reduce complexity and improve reealiability as long as you don't go crazy on the boost.

cpubugs, reword your question. Not clear on what your asking.

Is there some way to disable the injection system when your out driving around not at the track, ect... Or once it is installed is it something that has to be on all the time?

Cpubugs well you can wire in a switch that would kill power to the water injection relay, but that would require you to not tune to the AI. Personally I would leave it on all the time, under normal street driving you shouldn't run out between gas fill ups, provided you have a tank that's at least a 1/2 gallon. That way you prevent pre-ignition and steam clean your internals. Just think how much damage your causing by doing a WOT run once your clear of stop and go traffic...you know you do it.

Red T3/T4 hybrid with a low A/R and AI. Good response with a bit more on top compared the the twins. Or go my route 500R with a .82 A/R, muhahahaha.

Yes of course I do, I do it in every car I have ever owned. My wife Hates it "stop you're wasting gas" "why do you have to take off so fast" lol So I guess a more accurate question would be that it is fine on a car that will 80% of the time be a DD ?
