Why not do a 13b-T Or a REW Swap? or for the Price of a f20c swap why not do a 20B Single Turbo. Keep it Rotary! Don't Bastardize the RX7!

 

The previous owner probably did a full emission delete on your engine. I did the same on my S4 and I had to give her a little gas to keep her running while cold start.
What I did was wire the throttle open just a little, you can do this by adjusting the throttle cable. or Just reinstall the BAC, and Sub Zero start. All very cheap and you can find every where, almost every FC Owner has a 1 if not a few laying around.


Last running Wrecked S2k I have seen was sold for 6k. Definally more money than a solid well built 13b-t. What are the numbers on a F20C?

F20C: USDM 240 HP @ 8,300 rpm; 153 ft lb , 207 Nm @ 7,500 rpm

13B-T: 1.3L 202 hp (151 kW) S5 Turbocharged ~ About 800 - 1500 For Full Drive line swap.

What are you going to have to do for a F20c, Custom Stuff.

The Rotary engine is a great engine, And its very well made, If its taken care of and built well. You could have very well built, turbocharged, streetported w/ Supporting mods and ~300HP if not more, for the price of a wrecked S2000.

But than again, I dont know where you are Finding a Wrecked S2000 for $1700.

There was also a 20b long block for sale on these forums not to long ago for $2,000 I believe.


Edit: After a quick craigslist search i found no wrecked s2000's in the greater seattle area, But i did remember seeing a F20C Engine and Trans going for $3,900 from a AP1. This was a few weeks ago though.

Figured I say Hi since I now own an RX7! Picked up a S4 Turbo2 last night, needs a bit of TLC and a good tune to be damn near perfect. Black with grey leather, of course the drivers seat bolster is chewed up. Mostly stock except for the MS1/Zeal ECU and a decent custom exhaust.
