Washington DMV difficulties...

So, I am getting my car registered in the state of Washington. I am originally from Illinois, where the weight is of little importance. How can I prove to the stubborn DMV workers that my car weighs roughly 2,700 lbs? Is there something I can print out?
I can't drive the car... Legally... To get it to a scale or weigh station.

What the hell is a trip permit?
Other people have said the same about the weight. It must be something that people don't pay attention to, but apparently it is on your registration. It isn't on my Illinois registration.
I've not tried a different DMV. Yes, it's an FC.
I thought about taking a photo of the door sticker, as rotary-guy had mentioned. The lady specifically said she needs proof of the "scale weight"...

You are dealing with a complete moron. Go to Bev's License agency in south Everett - they are reasonable people. Tell the clerk to look up ANY rx-7 of the same year as yours and it will have the weight. Or if you know someone with an FC who can go with you, take the registration from that. This is a no brainer.
They can call someone in Olympia if they want to and get the weight - they are just being lazy or on some kind of mindless power trip.
Another agency where the people are very helpful is the one across the road from Lee Johnson Mazda/Chev on 85th in Kirkland.
You can print out the technical description from Wikipedia or other internet source, or find an copy of an old road test or sales brochure. They are a dozen ways to do this.

Anyway, a Trip Permit is something you can buy for $20 or so that lets you drive around without tags/registration/DEQ/etc.. But they usually only last 14 days and you can only get so many per month or year..

They giving you **** because its a car from out of State. They Love to see people jump threw HOOPS and pay more Money to the Theives hiding behind government fronts. its a CAR from USA but its from another STATE so lets make him weigh the car. Make sure its not loaded with "CRACK"
Bro, I'll totally help you out on this one. I've never had an issue here in wa. Only issue I had was I bought a stolen car and they still gave it to me (instead of telling me it's still stolen, later got arrested for driving my own stolen car lolz)
Wa state trip permit is $10 or $15 and it's good for 3 days. Dona's up here in Marysville (not far from highway 9) is like $8 to get it weighed and it's a certified scale. But if you need me to bring my FC by so they can look at it or whatever just let me know.

^ I appreciate the offer.
Just five minutes ago I found an emissions document from the first owner, and it has the weight on it! They've got to take this. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

If you're trying Village Licensing, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Bunch of idiots. And it's a family business. Intellect passes from generation to generation.

I was finally able to make it to the licensing place yesterday. I was busy all through the week. Showed them the old emissions document with the weight of my FC... They took it. Now, I'm good to go.
Same thing happend to me when registering a s10 blazer from Arizona.
I had them look up the registration from Arizona and it had the scale weight on it and I had no problems. Odd.
