WA Apartment renting RX owners... what do you do to work on your car?

I'm just wondering, those of you in the seattle area that rent apartments, what do you do to work on your car? Tell me about your setup.

I want to get back into an RX but im not ready to pull the trigger on a house yet.

I puled my engine in my spot, rebuilt it in the empty spot next to mine, and threw it back in, all without an engine hoist. twice...

Problem is Adrian, most larger apartment buildings/complexes outlaw any auto maintenance or repairs to be done within the complex, whether you have a garage on site or not. For instance, it states specifically in the lease for my company that you are not allowed to use the garages or any of the complex to work on your cars whatsoever and outlines penalties that can occur when in violation.

If all else fails, go back to your parents house (if you can) or go to a buddie's place. Luckily I never had to do anything major to my car while living in apartments that had rules like that. Or spend the extra $$ to get a personal garage.

I got a duplex with garage. I can do whatever the **** I want. Except keep my car on jack stands for long...

Buy a complete car that runs and you won't need to work on it (buy my FD).

^^^ Ahh good times, and If I remember correctly I was trying to do a terrible impression of jammers in that photo... god that was like 4 years ago. My poor old FB in the back ground there... makes me want to cry. If I remember correctly, we tried to put the car on the trailer upside down, but failed.

And Jenkins... i totally would buy your FD.... if it wasnt an auto!

And Adrian.. i believe I was there for at least one of those engine installs. Good times.

Well ive thought about it, And I think I'm going to look into a used RX8. I really want a FD and they are around the same price as the 8, but I really couldn't treat an FD right unless I had a garage to work on it and keep it in, which means waiting for a house. However, the rx8 with the pettit supercharger kit makes 300RWHP.....

I was thinking of getting a storage compartment... maybe there are rules in the storage compartments too that don't allow you to work on your car?
