I see in your signature...you are no longer Supercharged. Did you finally sell your car? Or did you just take off the Camden?

Turbo's are cooler the supercharger IMO. At least for rotaries. I cant wait till I come back from my deployment and get my hands on an TII engine for my SE.

Ah crap, I read the thread title and thought I'd see another FB 5.0 swap, but it was only a turbo conversion.

Just kidding, good choice dumping the camden. Turbos own roots blowers, any day!

Nice thick intercooler on there!

Bummer the supercharger didn't work out as well as hoped.

Was that 210 at the flywheel or to the ground that CodeBlue got?

The 210 was to the wheels. Corksport is almost ready to start her up I think today or tomorrow.

Im going to miss the Camden for the low end tourque it had and the sound of it, but Im sure my new turbo setup will smoke any Camden on the street. No regrets though, it was fun, just not enough power.

I think the Camden with the Carb setup worked much better than with it fuel injected.

They do, unless you've got a engine that was made with the Supercharger, take the Supercoupe Tbird into effect, they've been running sub-10's for the last 20 years doing it with a Supercharger, the fastest Turbo'ed Supercoupe only does 13's.

It depends on the application, and how an engine responds...for instance our port set up responds to turbos VERY well, but not to superchargers...the Renesis responds to Superchargers VERY well, but not turbos...pick and choose really.

Uhhhh depends on a lot of variables...

Which supercharger/size, which turbo/size, efficiency rate of each, and so on and so forth.

If it's a roots blower, swapping it for a reasonably intelligently sized torbo will most likely make more power. Roots blowers suck, just admit it. The camden version is just like the old Weiand units; we're talking 30-40% efficient. Bad turbos are around 60%.

The only superchargers worth putting on a high performance car are centrifugals or lysholm type. All others are a waste of time.

When you go down there say hi to my bros car, it is the GSl-SE that has bad front fenders, and a faded grey paintjob. I think it is engineless now too...

I think it might be the car in the background of the last picture....

No, they have a huge motor to start off with, that's what I tried explaning but they don't listen, different motors respond to different things, unfortuantley everyone batted down the idea of making power with a Supercharger on the RX-7 so no one is willing to experiment and finally find what makes it get power with the Supercharger.

If any of them use a roots blower, replacing it with a lysholm will free up crankshaft power (takes less power to drive the charger) and create the same boost with a lower intake temperature.

If that doesn't create more power with less stress on the motor, my name is Abraham Lincoln.
