Most likely supposed to be $14,600, or it could be a scam. Seems like a typo to me.

100% Scam. That is probably posted in craigslist locations everywhere but close to DC.

"Just send the money to this special escrow account and we will ship it out."

Just a guess of what you might hear.

too good?

I say go for it but be carefull. Check the vin in several places and do a car fax report. If you don't know what you are looking at is in good condition, take it in for an inspection.

I look at it this way. If someone is selling a nice FD for $4600, which it apears to be, they will have 5 people show up at their door the next day with $4600 in cash competing to buy it. ZERO reason to advertise that nationally.

Correct. I look at it as a typo, or because of the demand for the entire sum of money it could be a scam to rob you when you show up... But yes, why advertise nationwide, unless maybe they accidentally clicked the wring Washington, if that's possible...??

Scam. sned them an email and read the response.

"I recently moved and the car will have to be shipped"
"I live in (insert other country) but the car will be available for pickup after I recieve funds"
etc.

Any method to get you to transfer moey without protection.

And DOUBLE CHECK ALL ESCROW CLAIMS NUMBERS> I got an email that looed real and I emailed the Escrow company with the case number, and they emailed back letting me know it was a fake.
