No, it was solid low. I had to feather the gas to keep her running. I revved it to about 3000 and started to hear normal exhaust notes. As I did that a few more times everything came back around and the vacuum reading was normal again and the car was idled fine.

What really sucks, is this happened right after I posted the comment that FDs are reliable.

Shouldn't have opened my big mouth. Dumb ***.

Joe,

When ever my rx7 decides it doesn't want to run I just pull out my favorite cd of all times. I recommend listening to "my apology" by get up kids. I usually just cry myself to sleep and in the morning I feel so much better.

Thats odd. Maybe something is grounding improperly while doing a right hand turn and either sticking your injector open more than normal or something making the fuel pressure higher than normal... or something... Its wierd and I have no idea... good luck to ya though

Fuel pump? Voltage at fuel pump? were you running accessory's? Have you checked resistance in your plug wires? How old are your plugs? Have you done a compression test? It deffinatly sounds like a fuel problem to me, I would deffinatly change your fuel filter and possibly your fuel pump to be on the safe side.

BTW if you are not getting cumbustion on one of the lobes it will register as a lean condition on your wbo2. I would check compression as well!

Thanks, It will take some time to check some of those.

I'm changing my fuel filter this weekend along with my plugs. At that point I'll check compression.

No accessories were running and I have yet to check the voltage at the pump. The pump is new as of 10,000 miles ago.

Another thing I should note is that my oil was low, which is now at the full mark and my kick panel for the PFC had come out and the PFC was just flopping around in the car. I'm looking for possible shorts at the ECU and wondering if the oil was soo low that it wasn't making it to the pick up.

I'll have to get back to you guys on this issue. One positive note is that it hasn't happened again in two days or so, after I had filled up the oil and put the ECU back in place. Weird, intermittent problems, gotta love em.

Ok, so its not oil level related.
Not gas level related.
Not ECU wiring related.
Don't think its ignition related anymore.

I'm going to look into the fuel pump, FPD (needs to be replaced anyways), stock FPR, aftermarket FPR (both are connected), fuel filter, fuel pump resistor (make sure its shorted for high mode) and maybe my injectors. Pull my hood off and put a video camera on the FPR and make this thing happen again, see if fuel pressure drops.

I need another running car, damn.

It is however only on some right turns. Very intermittent, sucks.

What about the fuel relay? Someone mentioned this to me and I was like, um, sure maybe.
Also (thanks CPT) I'll look into my MAP sensor and verify its working properly when this happens (I don't have a MAF, but the MAP is the same thing pretty much). I wonder if I've finally rubbed through my fender liner enough to start shorting wires on some right hand corners.

Which side do the MAP sensor wires go down?

Thanks
Joe

sounds like a seal sticking on occasion. I'd just pour some MMO in your gas tank.

I already mix about 4oz of MMO to each gas tank along with my oil metering still working.

Weird part is its only around right hand corners and I can reproduce it now with some consistency.

I was thinking a sticky seal also but I'm puzzled by the right hand turn thing.

This weekend I'm going to hit it pretty hard and see what I can find out. I can tell you right now my hood is coming off and I need to pay one of my more hard up friends to hang on top the engine bay while I take a few laps around the next door church parking lot to see if fuel pressure drops when this happens.

This could be fun.
