Thinking about moving to Atlanta, GA

Hey guys,

I recently graduated from EWU last quarter with a B.A in Sociology and Communications, but I can't seem to find work in this damn state for 45k a year. Just recently I had been givin an opertunity to go work in Atlanta, GA for about 55k starting. I really like this state and don't really want to move but I don't want to keep my sucky 22k a year job either. Any thoughts on this?

meh maybe,
but the issue is I don't like the east coast much and there wouldn't be anything out there for me besides work. And **** I don't just want to work, go to bars and then go home. lol plus there aren't any asian chicks out there and that is my one muse =)
what type of work is your shop doing time machine, I am sick of sitting at a desk doing contracting calls, lol starting to get tendonitis in my arms

se7en, If you like the asian girls there really is no better place that here. Maybe Vancover, but then you have to live in Canada

Another thing is the climate. Its hot and humid down there right now. That Aside, I have heard, that it is actually a pretty good place for nightlife

lol anything really as long as it pays a steady 45k a year. I got my degree in sociology and communication and I have experience as a CSR rep for 5 years. My work currently is in Fiber Optics.

We race Formula Fords and 2002 sedans primarily, but we'd take on any interesting vintage project. We are also doing an LS2 240sx drift car for a friend of the shop.

I'm in a similar situation to you in that I was working in Venture Capital before my company reduced its workforce, so I decided to do something I'm really passionate about. I go back and forth everyday about sticking with it or going back to finance where I made decent money. However, I think in the long run, if you do what you love the money will eventually follow.

That sounds really Awesome Time Machine. I do feel conflicted when it comes to my future. I want enough money to do what I want in life (usally will invovle cars still) and still save for a decent house and what not.
Do you ever work on your FD at the shop? <--- Stupid question.
I just got out of a consultent meeting about opertunites in the Northwest and I have been looking still.
lol if I do leave I think I will snag a FD from the Northwest before I go.
oh I am selling my 1984 Corolla BTW.

I am not sure how old you are Time Machine but Point I am trying to make is that with your lax job you managed to buy my dream car, aford it, and pay for what it looks like a 2006 Infiniti FX35. Now I have worked for years throughout college and managed to buy 2 of my favorite cars the AE86 and a Skyline and saved up money beyond that...but still it isn't coming in fast enough to save for a house or to finish my cars.
