Sweet fricken ninja 7 thread
Sorry, this isn't my Rx-7s anniversary lol but bare with me. I need some help finding some nice places to take my girlfriend for dinner in Spokane. My idea is to just make a weekend of it, get a nice hotel and what not. I would like to take her out shopping and get here some really nice dress shoes, a dress, some jewelry, and maybe get her hair done. Then have a place to take her for dinner that has like a dress code where she could wear all her new clothes and have the whole upper class snob environment. I don't know of any really nice places in the area, but I assume there is something ridiculously expensive?
I will be doing this on the Feb. 21st and 22nd weekend so I have time to plan and make reservations if needed. Any ideas or tips are welcome.
Thanks

Has anybody stayed at any of the bed and breakfasts in Spokane? I am not sure if they are things you can just buy for a single couple for 2 nights, or if you have to have a full kinda wedding. I'm not sure if bed and breakfasts are ... kinda weird either lol. Any experiences?

Ok. So here is the new plan. Tell me what you guys thinks. She flies into Spokane Friday Feb. 20th. I have the davenport hotel people pick her up (maybe I will be in the car / limo thing) and take her to the hotel. I will have one of the nice "Tower Delux King" (decent price) that we chill at for a bit till she heads out for a day of shopping in the City where hopefully she can find some nice stuff for the dinner the next day. We come back and eat or what not and spend the night in the nice room. Then the next day we leave the hotel either to do more shopping or skiing or something for what ever reason. While we are gone they move all our stuff to the "Davenport Penthouse Suit" (Quite a bit more expensive but super super nice and it comes with champagne! lol) (I wish the Honeymoon suit but .... I need tires this season lol) so that when we are done with our events for the day/night we come back to a different really super nice hotel room.
Now .... this is where I need the help. I work off mainly off logic, and not really off feelings or emotions. To me ... this is an interesting way to spend the money, but seems kinda weird. That's what makes me think that she (or females in general) would most likely like it a lot? What do you guys this? Too much? Too little? Too corny? I have been trying to find a nice restaurant for the second night, and possibly a place to go dancing but all that keeps coming up is the big MONSTER TRUCK weekend event at the arena. lol.
Then after that, depending on when her flight is to go home, we will either come back to Pullman for a few days, or she will head back home. I am not sure about when her job will want her back... lol
Thanks
~Tweak
P.S. I am trying to avoid putting her in my rx7 till we head back to Pullman. (if we have time to do so.) My car .... really kills any .... "I am getting pampered yay" feelings lol. I think it is the fact that you smell like you just took a 2 hr. nap in a fuel treatment plan... So I will hopefully be able to use the hotel shuttle service and let the 7 chill for the weekend.

So anyways we headed to Shari's Restaurant and at some food. I got to know a lot about the guys, and wow Spokane people are...... messed up. Not weird, just messed up. I seriously think there might be some sort of wide spread chemical spill or something. One kid couldn't stop laughing, at the stupidest things. I thought there might have been an n02 leak in their car or something till I found out like all their cars were stock. O.o I guess they were just out for a drive and such, just like me. lol
Anyways the food at Shari's was BAD like always, but I paid my tab and we headed out to Winco because the laughing boy really wanted to chug a gallon of milk to prove he could. Although I knew he would fail, I was intrigued and went with.
When we get there they all like rampaged the store, and I kinda just walk around looking for supplies for the week lol. College life. :/ Well they finish playing with all the little toy footballs and such in the store we headed out. I don't even know if the guy got his milk. Anyways, on the way out, one of the Alaskans (A large black dude) was like ha, I didn't pay for my meal. I was like oh god, he is so going to get busted. The rest of the group was like naaa he will be fine, and one of the other kids proved that Idahoans were stupid because he stole a couple toys from the Winco. (just put them under his coat.) I was like oh man this is going to be good, I really hope they get caught.
Sure enough, about 5 ft. out of Winco there was two police officers asking the kid to open up his jacket lol. The other officer asked who didn't pay for their meal at Shari's. The other large black kid threw his hands up and said it wasn't him, and the rest of us looked at the other guy lol. He was screwed. The police officers were like, you can go pick up your friends later. That is when we informed him that we don't know these guys, and that we don't even know each other. lol He was confused and told us to go. lol
Anyways on the way back to WA (they took the WA way back to Spokane) I took a stock Tiburon... pretty easy.... even in the ice.... Spokane people have issues, seriously. lol There are tons more details I could go into but I am tired of typing.

Yo Tweak, check out CourdeAlene. its a more recreation like area and caters to high roller weekends, etc. its got a big lake for visual effect and if you are going to limo around, it would not be that much more for a spokane airport pickup. + idaho has cheaper taxes so you'd be giving less money to the govt.
if you dont want to drive teh 7, rent a upscale car from somebody... cheaper than a limo and you get to keep it longer.
i have a relative in CdA that has a jag for sale and he might let you borrow it for $ and
insurance coverage....

THis is michelle, posting uner Chris's login,
Its really sweet you are putting all this thought into a nice weekend for her.
How about a weekend in Leavenworth or another cute little town around there, I don't know the area well, but maybe there is something in Idaho.
Visit all the little shops, by some local handmade jewelry, etc, stay at a small hotel?
I think hertz rents out some luxo cars. My friend got an Infiniti M35 through them.
If Chris bought me fancy dresses and jewelry I'd consider it a waste of money, but we are married and I like cars, so it's a little different.
BTW, we stayed at the davenport one time over there and its a great hotel.

Awesome! Great ideas guys! I can't believe I didn't think about the whole car rental thing. BUT I remembered that you have to be at least 25 years old to rent a car. :/ ( I am 23 turning 24 on the 22nd)
Lesley DOES love Jaguars though, so please let me know if we can possibly make that work. I think it would be the icing on the cake being driven around in one. I know my FC isn't worth nearly enough, but I would obviously be willing to leave the car and keys as collateral if it helps get the ball rolling at all. He might be interested in driving the 7.
I have also found a place that has walk in "Salsa Dancing - Caribbean Latin Music - Not Tex-Mex" (what ever that means) lol. They do it every Friday night in Spokane and there are quick lessons for beginners. Again, weird asking the rx7 community, but does anybody know much about salsa dancing? lol. I have searched all day, but have NOT been able to find any classic ballroom style dancing, and going to a club in Spokane sounds like an easy way to get shot or stabbed.
Keep the ideas coming! I also looked at CourdeAlene, but it seems as though much of that area has not developed the theory of HTML. Most of their information isn't online. I'm sure there are some awesome places, but not sure how to find out. Maybe I will take a drive up there tomorrow and check it out.
Thanks!
~Tweak
Update: Actually I just found out the same place that does salsa dancing Friday nights does ballroom dancing Saturday! Yay. (I guess there is like a line to get in so they say to come early.) There is a strict dress code too so I think/hope it will be perfect! (Oh crap I have to get some new clothes!)

I had a girlfriend who started going to wazzu and i got to spend quite a bit of time over there. I'm sure you know of Fireside. That place is pretty decent, even Sangria's over in moscow isnt bad. For our year and a half anniversary (didn't get to do anything fancy for the 1 year..), we went to the melting pot up in tacoma, which is amazing. Its fondue and absolutely delicious at that. It was a nice atmosphere, dimly lit, not loud at all because the tables werent crammed together and the overall experience took about 2 hours to do. My favorite place that i have eaten hands down at this point. Wonderful for just one on one face time without worrying about an obnoxious envirionment being distracting around you. There is one in spokane, too, though i havent been to that one. Heres the web address. gives you the address for the place with maps, and a place to make reservations. Definitely a place to check out if you havent been there before.

Also, if you like the outdoors, check out the palouse falls for a day trip maybe. It's absolutely beautiful. I dunno what it would look like in the winter, but late spring/early summer was beautiful.

Thanks Michelle, Shadow, and old_skool.
I have been looking into it and the ballroom dancing sounds cool, but is REALLY difficult. I know she would have loved getting all dressed up and such, but being shoved into the complex dances of ballroom dancing would be stressful. (The complete opposite I am going for.) The salsa place though has lessons before hand, and from the looks of it looks a lot more like relaxing fun dancing than strick, don't do anything wrong or you are going to own your partners feet dancing.
Shadow_FC: Thank you, I have not heard about that place as of yet. Everytime I ask someone locally for a good restaurant I instantly get "Clickerdagger" as the response. It requires a reservation, and such so I think that will fit the bill for at least one of the dinners. She is not really that fond of fondue. She thinks the idea of eating that much melted cheese makes her sick lol.
You are absolutely correct about Palouse Falls. We went there in the summer and it was amazing. We actually walked down the trail, past the rail road tracks, and around and sat on the little cliff right at the waterfall. The hike and drive was well worth it.
Old_skool: Thanks, I will let you know how things turn out.

Thanks admin for changing the title. Didn't want her to stumble onto the forums and find the whole plan.
Woundup7 : I will definitely be back with a review of every place and how she liked it. Hopefully with pix or vid if I can remember to take some.

the most romantic date idea i got for you, getting **** drunk and taking almost nekkid pics of your gf doing sexys poses in the bedroom, if she is shy throw a banana or cucumber in the mix to spice things up a little, then asap you gotta be a good boy and post said pics in the rx7club for all's enjoyment.

Ok, so looks like Jeknin's friends Jag has already been sold. I am looking for another sort of nice cruising car to rent for the 3 days. Obviously willing to give my FC keys and such as collateral and what not. Let me know if you or anybody you know with a nice car would be willing to rent it out for the weekend. I doubt I would even put 40 miles on the car, depending on how far away the car is from the airport.
Thanks.

Now now, I have been to the melting pot and it is absolutely amazing. Cheese fondue is only the appetizer. Main course is usually a hot broth you cook stuff like steak, lobster, shrimp, chicken, etc. in. Then of course dessert is some sort of chocolate concoction with fruit/cake/other things for dipping. Really is amazing and something different.

Ok, its official. I have pre-paid for everything. If for some reason my g/f breaks up with me in the next 2 weeks, who wants to have a 2 night party at the davenport?
I am still looking for a possible nice car to borrow, but I think I'm stuck. Im going to wait a few more days and then just buy an apexi ATS. (silencer)
