Are we still gonna have a detail day before abf?

I don't this year we will be going to ABF...but Im willing to come out and help detail a couple of your cars.

I don't THINK this year we will be going to ABF.

Shes not in the right frame of mind right now.
She wants her car fixed so WE can go this year. We are having a charging problem right now. and i can't seem to figure it out.
I'm going to get one of those metering thingies tommorow. so if anyone want to stop by and show me how to work it that would be kool.

I think I stood Jason up on his car. he is going a major job on his car. christ, I cant see having a successful day. to much to do and Im afraid that getting everone together will distract us. but then again prove me wrong.

 

Ha ha ha ha trying hard to keep positive, but in all I don't see it getting fixed any time soon. Unless some miracle happens this week....or some smart person thats good with electrical comes and saves us.

I decided to put the car in a shop that does electrical to find the problem. Theres not much time and Ive had my heart set on going to ABF this year. The shop has figured out the problem and the car should be home tomorrow morning. (I hope they did). I will let you all know what was wrong. Good for learning.

Dave, if the symptoms are the same, have you considered the possibility of another faulty fuel pump? Sometimes even new parts come out of the box with problems. I'd be willing to give it a look, but I really don't think it's your meter back fuse, and that's about the extent of my automotive electrical expertise. seriously though, I wouldn't mind looking it over with you.

Im not sure exactly what they said but It does have to do with my alternator being hooked up wrong and something to do with the aternator putting out too many volts even when the car was shut off. It then drained my battery, which made it not run things properly. So they are going to do some re wiring and have the alternator go directly to the ignition or something like that. Also something in the harness. Im not sure, but will find out exactly. They did say the Microtech was fine. Anyways, Im glad they are a smart enough shop to figure it out quick. I called a few shops today and they didnt want to touch my car.

The shop is only a couple blocks from you Brian.

I'm wondering if all they had to do was move the connector on the back of the alternator. I bet 20 bucks that's all they did and they're charging you for a lot more. That's how most places here in Spokane are. Some places will actually charge you for stuff, buy it, not put it on and tell you they did then send it back when you leave.

Seriously, you should let one of us look at it long before letting a spokane shop look at it. I'm VERY serious about this. You WILL get screwed if you didn't already. It's not you "may" get screwed. You will.

 

Chris I would have waited but YOUR down for the count for a few, and APple BlOsSoM being so close I didnt want to miss it cause of a stupid wiring problem on my car. Any other time you bettcha I would have called you, but I couldnt expect your hurt *** to come help me. Gary Brooks (the guy that put our setup on), called this shop to make sure this place was legit in what they said they were going to rewire. Believe me I called about 10 places and every place didnt sound very exciting to me except this one place. I think we will notice if anything was done, and I also think that alternator wire was switched. Will see this morning whats been done or how much they will charge me. Hopefully not much, Dave wont have much beer money at Apple blossom if its too much. Just hurry up and get feeling better Chris. The place is called Spokane Auto Care.

Chris, merciless is my very good friend. Its his job to keep an eye on me, make sure Im doing my job right...he he he I better be careful he can ban me.

On a side note the shop called and the cars charging problems have been taken care of. Car is keeping a charge now. They did though notice a major weird draw coming from somewhere. I told them to keep the car till they figured that problem out also.

The shop had also told me that there was an awesome tuner here in Spokane that does Dyno tunes and is very good with hand held/engine management sys....so I might check him out see if he knows anything about Microtech's.
