So how's everyones last minute projects going?

I myself am in the middle of a drum to lsd rearend swap. Also exhaust, and interior. Tomorrow I get to pull a motor, then I think I'm done, and ready with both cars. Wish me luck.

Now that the car is dirty all over again from all the fuel problems and having to rewire the whole harness on the Microtech. Tomorrow will be spent re-cleaning the engine bay and the rest of the car. Special thanks to Dave for killing himself to get this done on time (I think its done), and to Gary Brooks for the many hours spent on the phone helping us out.

Theres nothing like gettin fucked in Da *** bye your car. (with no MMO)

I have spent the last three nights in the garage rewireing, and adding ground straps. Hummm for some reason I had none ?

After I got that all done. I have to put it all back in the wireing loom and tape it all up. and prayed that it would start and it did. Im gonna go drive it around some more tommorow. I really needs a good tune...

So things are lookin up for AFB...woohoo

Thumbs up

After pulling the whole front end and the side fenders off to replace my front tube and mount my FC oil cooler, I got it all back together today, even moved the battery back behind the passenger seat, still have to install my rear flares because my rear wheels stick out 2 inches and the PoPo in Wenatchee will right me up if i don't get them covered. Hate rushing the flares.....guess the rattle can will do for now. Wasn't enough time to swap out the dash like I wanted to but it was going to take me another day to get done. Just need to clean it up and pack the Lexus, (the wife is driving that due to us bringing both the kids). See ya at Mc D's.

well lets see i fixed my sub frame and re installed it but my camber is way off now..... my car drives fine, but my steering wheel is turned to the left a bit to keep car straight and it pulls to the right a bit, besides feeling a bit "unnatural"

anyone know how to ajust it , or which way my back wheels are prolly pointing?

Replaced some bushings and upper control arms but couldn't get the toe adjusted right and now its out pretty bad and throwing the alignment off but dont think I can get it done in time. I was hoping to get my turbo on in time but looks like it wont be done, all I had left to do was the tap the oil pan and fab up the downpipe too . Oh well looks like it will be naturally aspirated a few more weeks.

I NEED HELP!!! Is anyone to a point where they can lend a hand throwing Darlenes car back together thursday afternoon? I have to bolt the exhaust system to the manifold, which is being a PAIN IN THE ***!!! Then I gotta bolt the lsd in, and bleed the brakes.
If anybody's got time, call me. You all know my number.

Not sure how much time Dave has due to all these last minute problems. I will have everything ready with the car. I know he has a few more things left to do. He still has to drive it on the freeway to make sure its all good, and do some tuning with Gary over the phone. I know he also needs to come get those engine cores from you, so maybe he can help you later in the evening when picking them up. Im not sure if he is picking up Gregs core or not yet either. run run run run

Wheres Greg been? Maybe he could lend a hand.

Mine are going like ****. The turbo for my FD may be a touch late and the the FB is still not running. The fact that I have no free time has something to do with it also.

I was able to get into the FB last night. Slim jim (coat hanger) took all of two seconds to open the door. "Who's the man" The part that took the longest was bending the coat hanger. kind of scary, but hey I didn't have any extra sets of first genh keys to try.

I was then able to get the new gasket on along with some gasket sealer. I was sacred to even try to start it. I'll let everything set up and give it a shot this Firday when I have a day off due to me thinking I would be at AB.

I think I'll also jump on replacing my clutch in my DD sprint so I can get around next weekend. The hills I live on are starting to become a slight problem.

Then maybe my Turbo will show on Sat and I can drive it down to Mike so we can finish the install.

Hell with any luck I may have all three of my cars in working order by Monday, Go figure.

Sorry I didn't read may of the other post above me, but I hope all goes well for the rest of you. I am just a little frustrated, busy, tired and venting.

just got the intake manifold gasket in... talk about last second. I'm not going to bother with it yet, until after ABF. I don't want my first test drive to be all the way out to Wenatchee! That, and no one is free right now to help, so...

BOOYA!!!! Done. I got the exhaust on, and the rear end in. It's got an exhaust leak still, at the manifold, but there's no time to take it to the muffler shop. So her car will be there looking a hell of a lot nicer than it really is. Now all I have left to do is pull a motor, change the seats, and put in the steering column surround.

ahh well i finished my car, and its ready for apple blossum, washed and cleaned/vacumed , didnt was it tho but ahh well...

i fixed my camber/toe in problem, my right wheel was like hardcore toed in( i could actually tell looking at it!)
i went to les swuab telling them my rear camber or toe in was way off in the rear cause i just replaced the sub frame, and they were like bla bla no , you cant adjust the rear in a RWD car, im like YES YOU CAN!!!!independent rear suspension(2nd gen)!! but then they were like uhh were booked up today anyway....

using some boards a square and a level, i ajusted it, to where my car tracks straight again feels much better then before!!!! no clue what its actually suposed to be set at i just turned it till the car felt normal and went straight.... maybe next week ill get a professional alignment

HELL NO! i've gotta say, there ain't much funner than apple blossom if you live in WA. i don't care if you were finishing a 500hp engine up. if you miss apple blossom you are going to regret it. thats if you're a rotor head. it's just too much fun.
