3+ hours on the bus from Renton to Lake Stevens. The first 45 mins were spent getting to Kirkland. Once we got to I5 the roads were deserted. No bus runs today though so no work for me. Not gonna make the 40 mile commute when the majority of the staff called in, even though many of them live on-site...

I made the 12 block walk home after work and avoided the cars sliding down University street in down town seattle. Moving downtown was the best decision I have ever made, although I was one of 3 people that made it to the office today. :O/

I dont venture out in my car when its like this, but I saw a very competent driver yesterday on the way up to meadows braving not only Oregon drivers spooked by a little snow and ice, but keeping up with us in a 4wd Burb with really nice siped snow tires, and a enthusiastic driver motivated to make good time to the hill!

I was really surprised that car did as well as it did, he said it handled fine, but I know it was slick up there, cause we found a few spots where our very sure footed vehicle slid.
