bump, come on people lets get more people down. so it looks like were going moday then. less than a week away. so I say we go somwhere south just so we get a decent turnout. who's all for sure going at this point? I say we meet 10:30 in woodburn or salem (bruces house), and go from there how far are these places from salem? hwy 20 going up south santiam pass, past greenpeter dam. Or Marys peak, heading up hwy 34!!

Wah wahh.... well doesn't really seem like there's much response. Maybe try again in a month. I'm just going to head out past Scappose and head up to Mist/Jewel and do just a like sub 2 hr spirited drive... I'll come down to the next Rotard Meet most likely, when ever that is.

This is turning out simlar to our last drive... 3-5 cars?

I think that's the problem around the NW/Portland, everyone figures that not many people will show up so no one does... have you ever seen the Bikini Model Contest at the car shows here in PDX. 2 girls (nothing spectacular) and a bunch of dudes drooling... lame...

I sure hope when the weather starts getting better that people get their **** Road Worthy and actually start driving their RX's!

Jinx: we should try and do a large drive, we need to extend it to 240sxforum.com, rx8club.com, dsmtalk.com, v8rx7.com, northwestnissans.com, porscheclub.com, mustangclub.com. Open it to anyone who wants to drive their car/motorcycle and pick a weekend about a month out thats not close to a holiday/whatever with good weather... I'd really like to have 25-50 cars/bikes... Make it fun. The Corksport Mt. St. Helens run was pretty awesome a few years ago...

Just as normal as a blown head gasket in a piston engine...

I'm hopefully (waiting for confirmed registration) going to be going to the SCCA Solo Novice training in April at PIR and depending on AutoX requirements might sign up for a couple events, but I do have a baby boy thats going to be born in May... Any links? Which ones are you registering for?

PCA events are the better at PIR by far. half the people as SCCA, double the runs, and theyre just generally more relaxed. SCCA people are all srs bznss, so they get on my nerves sometimes. PCA is all about having fun. i probably wont be doing any PIR SCCA events this year, just PCA. i got too fed up with the cost/run/irritated ratio lol

Packwood is an amazing place, definately worth the drive. Almost every packwood event is 2 day (sat-sun), so we just get a cheap hotel. The lot is HUGE, and smoother than anywhere else I've been.

Salem:

Packwood:
PCA has one weekend a year, ORSCCA has a couple, and NWRSCCA has a lot

Should have posted a thread about these, Might have tried one or two, Still might. Thanks for the info, see you out there sometime if you're doing some of the PCA events at PIR.

Which class are you? It sounds like I can just show up to an event, and have an instructor ride with me for 1 run and then its up to me if I want an instructor to ride along? Interesting...

for PCA, im "non-porsche" lol
in SCCA, I'm XP due to motorswap

you can get an instructor at any autox, just gotta ask for one at the driver's meeting

i should also point out: PCA has limited entries (thats why we get so any runs). they almost always accept walk ins, but its safer to preregister.

I am still pulling mine, I've been having to undo alot of ghettoness, I still need to find a wiring harness, mine is more damaged than I thought. I'm pulling because, I need to replace my tranny, replace turbo gaskets, clean intake manifolds, put new injector o rings, replace all crush washers, put in a temp gauge, seal oil pan, replace engine harness, I'm removing my rats nest. I just have so much to do its easyer to pull and redo it all. I'm tired of supid problems, I just want to drive, as it is now my cars down every other week for repair.

I'm also installing a racing beat front sway bar, and a pre silencer to replace to hollow cat.

also does any one know what injectors are cream colored? I'm trying to figure out what mine are as far as size and brand.

You can easily retrofit a 86-88 NA harness for use on a TII. Its only 3 or 4 wires that need to be changed. You should change the clutch while you have it out, along with the front and rear main seals.

Creme injectors, I assume secondaries, are they a dark creme, almost yellow? They might be GSL-SE 680cc's.
