Hi Folks,

I'm going to put together a caravan for the RX8 folks as well. We're up for meeting up and caravaning down. I'm planning on leaving Thursday morning and trying to make it so Sacremento or thereabouts and then Friday up and out early as well to get to Irvine before Friday afternoon traffic.

I've just started the NW caravan sister thread at rx8club.com. http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=151628

Last year there were three of us in 1 car as we had a last minute cancel, but caught up with a bunch in Nor Cal on day two. That got us a pretty late start though and we ended up in 5:00 traffic in LA.

So hopefully we can get out earlier Friday this year.

I fought that traffic for 4yrs when I was getting my Aircraft engineering degree. To avoid heavy traffic get through LA by 3:00 or after 7:00.

Last time I was in LA I split lanes on my bike for 30 miles straight one night. I hate LA.

this thread is so cluttered with off topic stuff it is confusing plus I want to get a more updated list.

I wanna know who I'm going to caravan down with from Washington to Irvine California?

Where to meet the Oregon and Kali caravaner's?

Who is driving an rx7 down ?????

Are you taking a passenger????

A: That's really up to you isn't it. I'm leaving Thursday morning and willing to meet up with someone south of Seattle off of I-5. I live in Capitol Hill.

b: Not sure yet on my end. I'm planning on driving to around Sacremento somewhere. I'm willing to carpool with anyone that wants to make sure we get up and out early Friday morning. Last year we ended up getting stuck in traffic because we left too late and then made a second stop to pick up more people that took too long to get their act together and I missed the Friday festivities at Racingbeat. EG: missed seeing the Furai engine on their test stand being dyno'd. I'd like to get down early enough this time to check them out on Friday afternoon.

c:I'm driving an RX8.

depends on if my friend ends up going or not. At this point I have 1 and could take 2 more people as long as you don't mind riding in the back seat and don't smell bad.

I don't see why you can't tag along. Though I will changing my tune for max fuel economy. How bout we a make a bet who gets the best overall fuel economy.

From the beginning of July the price for reg gas was around $4.33 and now the lowest is around $3.93 for reg. I hope the gas prices continue to drop and stay down.

I have a slipping clutch, right now. If I cannot have this fixed by then I will not go. Might fly down, I was really more interested in road tripping the rx7 then the show so I might just set this year out and again shoot for next year. We will see if I have the money to do it by then also. Got $200 set aside right now and would need about 5 more at the cheapest.
