What is the difference between the S4 T2 irons and S5 T2 irons?

Have heard that the rear s5 iron can handle more hp.

Fc3spro.com quote, "There are rumors that the front housing tension bolt bosses crack on a Zenki (s4) motor at anything above 400hp. Kouki (s5) motors have been known to go up to 500hp. 13B-REW engines have been known to go up to 600hp."

So if i am not going with more than 300HP, They arent really much different?

The S5 has a more reinforced area where the dowell pin goes through the oil gally on the top of the motor. Basically to help with the the flex of the motor not cracking in this area.

isn't the oil pedistol reinforced as well on a S5 rear iron? or is that what your talking about Robert?

as robert said oil landings are thicker. and can handle detonation better.

can make lots hp on s4 its mainly about the tune one bad detonation its over ..

Yes, that is where it is reinforced to. I was just refering more to the dowell than the pedistol. The part thats the main reason for the reinforcement.

Also the s5 water channels are deeper so you can port the intake ports on the s5 a little bigger.
