Request for a specific part, a racing beat air filter.
Hey everyone, I havent owned an RX-7 for about two years now, and I figured this could be the last chance for me to find a certain part.
I use to own a Grey 1984 GSL with SE drivetrain, pre 79 13b roll cage, all the goodies.. Only thing I didnt like was the holley carb. I thought it was a little excessive for the stock engine.
But to get to the point, the car came with a black downdraft air filter cover from racing beat. Two years ago, I had it signed by Mad Mike at Forum Fest at Pacific Raceways. A lot of things happened in my life and I ended up moving to an apartment keeping the RX7. Fortunately my job was close so i only rode my bicycle and kept my RX7 for pleasure. The clutch master cylinder went out on it, so I parked it, and stupidly I left a lot of valuable parts on it, then it got stolen. They took the carb, optima yellow top, a momo steering wheel that I got from my first RX7 and the air filter cover. (They also took my best carburetor screwdriver
)
It meant a lot to me not just because of the signature, but it felt like the one thing I could have back from my old life when times were good.
So far the picture I attached is the proof that I indeed owned the air filter cover. I believe there are a couple more pictures I have somewhere I just need to find it.. I'll update the thread if I do.

I'm sure you'll see the other RX-7 related posts to see how much I loved my cars. I have an old BMW now, but rotaries will always be my home.
I want to know if anyone has seen this particular air over. It has a signature on it written in silver sharpie. I'll post pictures of it down below.
