Exclamation Pssst...

Hello, rotary friends.

LONG time. My FC is dead & sold. I miss her dearly--mainly just the sound of a T4 spooling--but it was time. Thankfully the guy who took her off my hands is trying to get her running. When I dropped the title off for him he told me about how he'd already got it started once and was blown away by how mean a streetported, turbo'd 13B sounds (this is coming from a guy who drives a 530RWHP '03 Cobra). Put a smile on my face, I hope the FC is back on the road soon tearing Corvettes & Stangs & Camaros to pieces.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that I have a nice little NB Miata now that is, on top of being actually reliable (don't take this for a rotary reliability bash, anything is going to be prone to breaking when you slap a fat turbo on it and start running 1+bar of boost), an absolute dream to take into the twisties.

I want to organize a weekly (or bi-weekly, whatever works best for everyone) drive through some good roads in the area. I realize a lot of you are probably putting your toys away for winter or already have, but for those of us still itching to get out and take a few corners, I'd love to get to see some of the RX-7 guys again.

I am in Bellevue now, so I am partial to the eastside, but I will drive almost anywhere for a good thrill/some good scenery. For those of you who haven't seen this site yet, check it out: http://www.motorcycleroads.us/regions/wa_ncascades.html

Yes, it is "motorcycleroads," but how many of us are riding two inches off of the ground and make sudden unsafe jerks to avoid potholes every five seconds? I figure the motorcycle guys will only be on the best roads, especially if they are planning to do some twists.

Anyway, hope to at least hear from some of ya soon. I'll try and make it out to a few of your rotary meets, I hope none of you will be offended by the NB's lack of rotary rasp.

Take 'er easy,
-Mark

JD, pm me your # again, I accidentally destroyed my sim card and lost all of my contacts. woohoo. is your car on the road yet?

Jordan, I'm actually not anymore. I stopped one quarter short of my AA because I got offered a killer job in Redmond and since I was sick of having empty pockets I had to take it. I'll be back in school sometime soon, not sure if it'll be @ Cascadia though. Do you have an up and running FC now?

you guys frequenting any meets these days?

Car WAS on the road, then I flipped it on an oilpatch at autox..... *sigh

I picked up a fair condt 91 base though (no roof saves a good 6lbs
over even my kevlar sunroof panel, yay!~) so am rebuilding that /w
my secondary R-Magic kit and RHD convr. right now. Hopefully I'll have
it done by opening season 2010. Go figure...

You know me Mark, I never go to meets = P

PM Sent, gimme a call and lets catch-up

I had a good part for your Miata that I brought in from Hokkaido a few
months back, I wish I could'a got a hold of you. The airbox was pulled
from your M.Y. Miata. Mazdaspeed N/A Airbox I ended up selling it to
some kid for 450$ to put on an FB :what_a_waste_of_parts:
