Prices are killin' me...

Just dont waste your time with this guy, hes selling bad parts for over price... Just thought i would let everyone know before they bothered spending five minutes even calling or writting an email...

The guy in roseburg with all the t2 parts is selling parts like t2 wiring harness for 700.00, RB down pipe for 200.00 (you know the ones that are 165 new from RB), bad irons for 75 a piece claiming they are good (and it seems claiming that the s4 NA ones are t2 housings)... **** like that.. Heres a link to the pics he will send you, however all parts in the pics are iffy at best and the housings that are on there he wants hundred each for.. He was just gloating to me how he took over 450 from a guy in cali for dead (bad) housings...

dude. the wiring harness was priced at what someone that knows alot more then me said it was worth, and in my defense it sold for $500. the other one I have I am asking $500 for, and would be willing to deal, it like the other one is engine and body all relays, fuses, and ecu's etc. attached and going with it. not just a bare set of wires.

a lot of the old stuff from my add your talking about was n/a stuff, I sold all the NA stuff, and everything I have now is T2.

my old add did have the prices revised to the new one btw, and if you'll notice I sold 4 motors that were in that original posting. all for peanuts. maybe got $700 out of them. but included injectors, a harness, and n/a tranny, and ecu's.

the downpipe I am selling is a Greddy 3.5" the one I have on my car is a racing beat. also had that guy help me price it. then referenced Ebay pricing as well.

Its not that I was trying to gouge someone I am just trying to get a fair price for the stuff, I have too much money and space in all of it, and need the garage space.

the guy that bought the housings bought a mix of those 3 or 5 pictured, and some others I had he got a total of 6 or 7 housings if I recall, and it was the 5th rotary motor he had built. I am only listing them for what it looks like the pricing is, I am not trying to sell online without people personally inspecting it, and in fact I even told you if you wanted you could come take a look at it because I didn't have time to haggle back and forth on the email, that way you could see it, and maybe help me from there with the useability of it, and the correct pricing of it all.

sure you can get anything for less.... hell bet your grandma once bought a SS Chevelle for $10, doesn't mean that is what a fair market price is for it.

I took the pictures to show what I had, every time someone is serious I tell them to come take a look because I am not sure if every part I have or had is in the pictures and in every instance I have sold something the person comes out to see it or I take the part to them to see it or whatever I don't ship because I don't have a way of testing EVERYTHING! you like it it works for you, great make an offer, hell lowball me I don't care but to lowball me and get all aggressive about how my stuff is overpriced. if you would have said "$75 is a bit steep would you take $50 each that would have been fine, but instead you tell me everything is over priced, and tell me to check my prices. say what your willing to pay, then go from there, but don't bring the person down... you can buy from anyone else out there. so be my guest.

and why beware of me? if you commit to buying and it is in line with prices on ebay or craigslist around you then how is it over priced? I see ECU's going for $80-140 on ebay, do you e-mail everyone who has their at $140 and tell them to check their prices? no you ignore those and buy an acceptable one around $80-90 that looks decent and maybe you have some history on it.

a body harness is around $100-180 on ebay, engine harness around 80-120, 80 ecu, then the other resistors, relays, fuses, connectors, and everything...

here's a reference point: not even a turbo, and its just the main engine harness.

ECU:

Irons:

still think I am over-priced?

I thought my pricing on the ad was fair, and I'm sorry if they don't work for you.

good luck with your projects.

i just find the prices and your not willing to be reasonable no matter how much you say you are, its just not. I needed the wiring harness till i got the one i just got and asked you several times what you wanted for it. You stated 700.00 and when i offered anything even half of that you pretty much told me to **** off.. So thats no being reasonable or fair with prices.

If you were willing to negotiate prices i would have bought some things you have i needed, however when you are asking the highest prices you can find and then trying to settle on just above reasonable.. Thats over pricing.....

So i was trying to make it clear i was only saying beware in that if anyone is looking for parts and see's the ad, they will be paying alot and if they dont want to pay alot, they will be wasting thier time I try to throw scores and thier opposites out there when i see them. Helps me when others do it, i just try to do the same

i gotta say, Joe. your original post made it seem like there was a SCAM going on. if i was him, I'd be a lot more verbal about how much of an *** you were for writing that. ****, if you wanna talk about people selling things over priced. hell didn't you sell a few things you got for free? People have the right to price things how ever they feel, and people have the right to decide what fair pricing is for there own. to trash someone on the forum for no legitimate reason is just plain fucked up!

hey, were all here for the same thing... we either love these cars or love the idea of them. I'm not going to discredit him, he did make offers, I just didn't care for the way he did it. he didn't like fair market pricing. there is always someone cheaper... but why give it away all the time?

how is the harness overpriced? given that it is basically every electrical component in the car except the radio speakers and gauges I thought $500 was a fair price who wants to have to take the time to pull it all out? this was already all out there.

again its not the offers, its how they were presented. anyone can be a internet tough guy...... but where is the respect, and fair treatment? Joe, I'll give you $100 for your Turbo FB project, its just a hodge podge mess of parts anyways, what do you say? thats what trade-in would be so why not?

Joe I wish you luck, sorry we couldn't come to an acceptable deal.

thread lock?

Good call....remember, when dealing with used parts, CAVEAT EMPTOR.

You have no one to blame but yourself if you were too lazy or too quick to "pull the trigger" to first research current market prices.
