No run run good. It runs, just like ****! Spyd pulled the intake and checked the injectors plugs..ok. Checked alot of other stuff...ok. Fixed the small coolant leak..ok now. Still runs like ****..I drove it down the street and back..slipping the clutch to keep it above 3K so that it would run..got in the boost range once! Woo ****** hoo. Still, if you push the accel past 1/5 it pops and chugs..won't idle..dunno

 

That sucks, so it's not entirely to ecu's fault.

Time to invest in a S5 turbo harness and a programmable ecu.

Bought a Efini twin turbo set off A 2000 FD off of ebay tonight. This should tide me by until I can afford a full Garrett GT35RS Single kit.

 

Hey Apex you wanna race today,sounds like I would have half a chance. Man sorry to hear about the b.s. you're going through. Not to be a *** and I have very limited experience with these type of motors but it sounds like to my dumbass is that you either have a vacume problem or the fuel pump is dying under load .

 

Pumps good, it's my old stock unit out of my FD. Vacuum line is entirely possible though.

 

I believe vacuum is fine too. I think it's tuning. We have checked and eliminated everything else..Did you know that we had the fuel lines into the regulator plumbed backwards? Hmmm. Now who did that?! Even with those fixed properly it still runs shitty..better, but shitty. The wierd thing is, if you open the MAF with your finger, it starts and runs better. (Space, it's kinda like when your boyfriend sticks his finger in your butt and it makes you *** harder!)

 

Got to try that next time . He always asks you to put your tongue up there before I blow.
so have you tried to replace the MAF? btw if you had the fuel lines crossed would that have messed the pump up (maybe cavitated it or something or blew a inner seal out) ? just a shot in the dark
