Hi guys and gals - just thought you might like to see what it is that I have been asking so many questions about. Btw, thanks for all your reponses thus far, everyone has been a great help! And without further ado....

The ugly gauges I need to replace - cause - some - moron - pulled - them - out - and - put - them - back - in - again - and - now - they - dont - work - anymore - cause - he - didn't - know - wtf - he - was - doing. GRRR Got a set? PM me!

The paint is actually black with a purple undercoat, and is in very good condition. The car was obvoiusly Black to begin with, but I like the deep purple tint. I know the pictures are not great, I'll get some more as soon as the weather gets better.
This car came to me caked in mud, with a wet interior (bad rear and side seals) so the cord you see running out of the door is a heater fan set to "low" to dry it out. I pulled much of the carpeting up, and thankfully, there is no rust!
The title is "branded" in Idaho - not sure if that means it was totaled, or if it is just because the milage is exceeds it's mechanical limits. The frame and all panels appear straight, with minor nicks and dings. However, stupidly, someone repainted over all the chrome, and 45% of that paint has come off the chrome. So, now I'm faced with the choice of stripping down the crome pieces and having them re-chromed, or re-painting them black again. Ahhh, decisions, decisions...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not selling it, lol .... Yet. This is an investment, and thankfully my wife is understanding enough to not yell at me for sinking some dough into it to make it even better than it is now.

Anyway, let me know what you think! By the way, here is the kicker - I paid $60.00 for the car from a moron kid that I work with!!! And, I have reciepts totalling over $700.00 in recent repair work! (Brakes, Dual Tipped performance muffler, Clutch master cylinder, front brake Rotors, etc)

I would pull the seats and carpet and get them really dry otherwise they will smell like mold. the padding under the carpent is the most important thing to get dry, thats where the mold may grow.
