^what color is it,the factory red is a 3 stage paint,so is the yellow, may very well be why they want so much because it can't be done in single stage, which you don't want anyway.a good paint job isn't going to be cheap.

hate to say it, but that sounds about average for the NW. That being said, save a little more up and get find a GOOD body shop, poke around on the Porsche forums or any other similarly super high end car forums as they tend to be picky about good body shops and can usually direct you to one that will give you a decent price for quality work.

What if you have dents on body, will paint job cover it or you have to pay to fix the dents and dings before painting?

Depending on how mine turns out I may have a reference for you. Complete car FB with body work for around 2.

Nice to hear they are doing good work. I'm going to most likely get mine done there as well. silver/black. I really need to find someone to do some fiberglass repair. I have a hood that's got the corners messed up and a couple cracks on it.

I have a guy up here in the north end that does awesome work. Usually done by estimate but I would imagine it's way cheaper. Definitely worth checking out at least.

Panels don't need to come off unless they need to be replaced or worked from the back side first.
