Talking That one POS primer Turbo 2

Actually, not so much of a POS anymore...Making it's way to the top.

So i've heard via the grapevine that this T2 has floated around the NW for a while. I purchased it last January for 1900$ It had a problem with the EMS not working. Found hte problem and got it running. Several problems with it for a long time - fuel leaks, coolant leaks, over-boosting like crazy. Primered piece of **** with tons of potential with a BRAIN, elbow grease, and just the good ol' love of the wankel.

Anyway, I was curious if this is true. if anyone has heard of this pig of an Rx7 T2. I bought it from some cat with the last name fellows.. there were pics of it on the web somewhere a year ago. Anyway, it's been garaged as i make the loot to purchase what I needed...always still in process, but driveable atm.

What it came with:
Wolf3d V4 EMS
Koyo alum rad w/e fan
slotted rotors
upgraded calipers
Lots of primer
busted side skirts
few dents
750cc RC secondaries.
3" from the turbo back
SS braided brake lines

What i've done

Greddy 20G
Greddy T4 exhaust manifold
Greddy FMIC which didn't fit worth a **** cause of the new Radiator - I had to fabricate the turbo side pipes 2"75.. perhaps a lil' big, but it's all I could find.
Greddy BOV
Jacob's ignition box
Crane cam super coils
Atkins Thermal Pellet
750cc Venom primaries
RRFPR some ebay pos
FD fuel pump
Polyurethane joints (those were a bitch)
Relocated battery to rear compartment
Innovative wideband o2
rattle can! gloss black - not finished yet.. Schmucks doesn't have enough hah.

What my plans are in the near future -

KGParts fuel system - 1600cc secondaries, aeromotive fpr etc I think it's kit D.

FD or some higher than 70 amperage alt (i realized in seattle yesterday that my components take more than that pos alt can give.. and I don't have a radio)

4.33 rear end

Real paint job.

walboro 255 or the Rx7.com fuel pump

Tune @ corksport - heard they have the tuning capability for Wolf EMSs.

Recaro chairs.

Tokico Illumina Struts/springs

Basically a couple more G's and i'll be spent (hah!)

Just thought that i've put so much time and effort and $ into this god damn car, i'd post it up and look for any ideas/thoughts/comments/q's. I live in Everett, perhaps you've seen this car? idk.

Oh, and sorry for the **** pics, 1.3m is the best i could do plus sun! <3<3

yeah a good freind of mine origionally owned the car int he NW,

heres a short story

car was real nice, got stolen, they took rims and fucked up some of hte interior and side skirts and rear skirt and paint, so then it got rattle caned,

had the wolf3d installed at carb conection, then the car became a gremlin, car would lose spark, not start, and a ton of weird problems tring to tune it, it was like the car was possessed, there was well over 20 hrs of work tring to fix it i put a few hrs at it as well, some how it ended up running but stupidly rich tune. and the carb con guy, was going to swear off all rotarys forever after this gremlin haha....

my freind needed something better for a dd, and had to sell it, sold it to a guy

that guy had it for a few months and the wiring harness melted or something, or blew the ecu fuse, then he sold it when he went into the army,

then i havnt seen it in a yr or so? i guess u bought it from him?

yeah carb connection is not the greatest place for roataries, especially for tuning. I've talked to Alex recently and he pretty much refuses to do them now lol

good luck with the car. I'm sure I will see you around as soon as its done cuz you're near my hood

You bought it from a guy with the last name "Fellows"? Was his first name Brad? Anyways, what is the current running state of the car?

Yeah. Brad was the man.
It runs awfully rich @ idle. about 12.5:1. but it idles well.
I'm running it super conservative right now @ 10psi with about 11 degrees at 100% load.

Yeah. I've pretty much gotten all of the kinks out of that car. the side skirts I junked. Gonna take care of those spots those ***** who stole it fucked itup.

Can't steal it now though - put a pw on the wolf so it's good.

Yeah, i've had it since last January. towed it home, and got it running about 3 days. (had to order the internal fuse for it from somewhere in the east).

I plan on takin' it to corksport - guess they <3 rotaries w/wolf

You'll see/hear me for sure on the road

THanks for the info guys. Keep in touch

12.5AFR sounds about where it should be and should be right on for a turbo car. I wanted to pick that car up so badly when it was on the market because even with the problems it was completely worth sorting out. It is nice to see that you have taken it seriously. Hopefully you can get all the issues sorted out. I am pretty sure that corksport is more than capable of giving that thing a sweet tune.

at idle thats pretty rich. you can get it upwards of 14. i ran like 12.5 afr on my car at idle b/c any leaner it would idle ****, but i was running a base map and didnt touch the timing. which is why it didnt like the lean idle.

12.5 afr under boost on a rotary is pushing. every tunder ive talked to said (especially with s4 blocks) no leaner that 11.5. i ran 11.2. rear plates crack super easy with any pinging either that or boost in apex seals out.

You speak the truth. I refuse to tune anything over ~11.5 under boost. Anything else is just asking for trouble.

If you bought it from an *** hole named Cory Fellows, I'm going to tell you that 90% of the car that you just bought is stolen.

Cory Fellows is a dirty theif and should be thrown under the wheels of a passing car.

The reason that car has been a problem child is due to the karma that rat bastard has.

Last I heard he was in jail, if you just bought it from him that must mean he just reciently got out.

WARNING ALL CAR OWNERS!!!!

CORRY FELLOWS IS A THEIF.

Dont leave your car alone for a second with that guy.

Don't befriend him.

don't deal with him (because eventually you will be buying back your own ****)

I get the feeling that this thread is bate, and that you could possibly be Fellows.

haha. yeah cory was the man, his bro went into the service. Him and his boys were sportin' some nice turbo vehicles - a focus, a civic and the Rx. that was aw hile ago, and now I have a PW on the wolf, good luck *********** (plz don't tow it away )

anyway. well, everythin is blocked off. I kept the BAC on - just unplugged (and of course the hole blocked), cause a killer wolf guy from the downunder has made some plug ins for us to use it. I'll eventually get to it.

11.5 under boost? wouldn't you recommend that high under WOT? that's pretty rich. running only 10psi ATM that seems OK at wot. i'd say around 11 with a 20G at 14-16psi. my IATs stay rather low. around 30 celcius.

And by any chance.. anyone with a decent alt? my shitty s4 alt can't take the e-fan, wbo2, wolf, and the headlights. i drop to about 11.6 under idle.. granted the alt is underdriven, but i'm lookin' for a s6 mod for the alt. any recommendations?

Im thinkin' we should all get together sometime in june and show off our machines

chase.

i would relax, i can tell you everything on that car in legit, my good freind Ben is the one who put the engine in, wolf in, and the body kit a while ago.( before it got stolen and went down hill...)

it looks like it has the exact same parts it had when my freind owned it
( besides the ones u said u added) so i dont think the guy who sold it to you actually added anything really...

usually my ranger. gets better gas mileage than the MR2 (??), but that's probably because the MR2... encourages me.

i'm about to put the XS750 on the road, too.

but **** me if i haven't been lusting for a nice S2 GSL. to replace the MR.

Hey, this is really a small world. I always wondered what was going on with your car. My brother owns an APT next to yours, he used to live there, but now rents it out to some people. I always walked past your car as I was going to his house. But yeah anyways, nice car. Oh yeah, I saw you on the road last week (airport road) I work at Boeing. Oh yeah lol, you know my friend Lee (female). I went to high school with her.
