I didn't know about this meet until yesterday, but it sounded interesting, looked up some photos from last year and decided to go. The event is for European and Japanese cars made before the mid 1980s. Our friend John was visiting us yesterday, and he decided to spend the night here and go with us, so we showed up with two FBs. A 79 SA showed up later in the day and a REPU, but I don't recall seeing any other Mazdas. There must have been several hundred VWs, BMWs, Datsuns and Toyotas of every description, with a few old Volvos, Saabs,, Mercedes, a Citroen DS19, even one of those tiny Subaru 360 2 stroke vans. Now I know why we never see those cute little early Honda Civics - they are all in Vancouver, BC. A group of 7 or 8 of them showed up, most with modern Honda motors, several turbocharged, and all very nicely restored or customized.

My Skyline powered FB was very popular with this crowd, as you might expect. They ended up parking us right at the entrance, front and center. I have included a few photos for your amusement. Next year I will post the info ahead of time and maybe we can get a few Mazdas there.
