ok soo. I have ANOTHER problem..
Thanks to Noxi, Nytrate and ckykid02 i got my 7 running the other day and it ran fine besides the blue smoke..
but today i decided to let the motor breathe a little to drop my idle back down (having trouble with high idle but it will idle 750 if you rev it high then let off) and when i shifted to nuetral my idle was stuck at 3k, so i revved again and it got stuck at 4k the rest of the way home.....i also apparently ate the rest of my oil with only one puff of smoke... like it literally came out of my shifter too. (i have horrible holes in my exhaust if youve heard.)
i know i need to replace my o rings but im super strapped for cash and i start work next week. Any ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions?

On my STI, I had the throttle cable fray inside the housing where you couldnt see it and cause it to stick. I figured it out by disconnecting it completely and moving the throttle by hand. It didnt stick, but when I tried to move the cable back and forth in the housing, it was sticking. I replaced it and cut the old one open for fun, and as I said, it was frayed inside just before it exited the housing at the end. The frays were getting all balled up in there and causing it to stick. Similar to yours, I could "flick" the pedal and get to to come back down usually.
I would just disconnect the cable(s) (throttle and cruise) completely and start it to rule that out. If its still a high idle, you have another problem somewhere else. Vacuum leak, bad sensor, whatever.

Smoking hella. O rings are out.
the cars drivable...but at the cost of damaging everything beyond my budget. Ive had no income for the past 2 weeks since i quit working at ft.lewis. i was recently hired at discount tire but taking forever for the I-9 form to process.
im out of things to sell in the mean time topay for gas, baby stuff, bills and food. about to sell my 360 if processing takes another week.

haha i heard. Well before i begin tearing my motor apart..for transport i pulled the throttle cable off. its the culprit of 4k idle. but also dirty springs on the throttle lever for it getting stuck at 1.1k and slowly dropping back to 750. :/
Armyofone told me to use some ATF to check if its the o rings for sure...ha yeah. deff the o rings. the atf didnt stop it one bit lol. I had my head close to under the car looking for leaks and took smoke to the face lol
