Official Shop project thread...
Since we are working on some neat projects I figured it was time to share.
First up in the series is Brian (point5chinks) 93 Touring. We fixed a nasty oil leak (or 3), installed a new Synapse wastegate, rebuilt his entire vmount setup, and gave his car a clean bill of health.
Adam (AfromotoGT) did most the fab (thanks Adam!)
Everything is custom, the project has ~40 hours in to it. Quite the sleeper!
Next update, Brians 93 R1 Aspec 500r ground up build, Erics 93 LS1 Touring, and Jeffrey's 93 Touring!

This weekend we decided to try our hand at painting a friends car. We started some time after noon and put a few hours of quick prep in to it. No real body work was done, just a few hours of sanding + primer where it went through + base + clear. I laid the first coat and as soon as my friend started on the second, our painter friend stopped by and setup our gun. Holy crap did it go down 10x nicer after that. By the time we laid the base, we were pretty worn out. Our painter friend grabbed one of his good guns and laid the clear in like... 5 minutes a coat!
Its not perfect, but its sure as heck better then a rattle can job! Cant wait to see it cut and polished.
Lightly sanded- starting dis-assembly.
Sanded, taped off.
Primed and scuffed.
Base coat down, hood unwrapped for clear.

Yeah the car looks great Marc thanks! All of the work looks top notch. Its weird having an RX7 that is in perfect mechanical condition now...im not sure how i feel about this...hahahha. Now if i can just find a darn laptop with a serial port I can lean out the tune and the thing will be perfect!

Why buy a laptop... just get this USB to Serial converter... save a couple of hundred bucks. That's if you have a laptop.
