LOL at you guys getting so offended by the "smack talk" If you read the thread on NWN you would see the same thing...its supposed to be like that...although you dont see the nissan guys sayin "**** the RX7 guys!!"
The best part is that youll see a few fc's and fd's rolling with nwn..and their reason? "The rx7 guys never show up or do anything"
Read it for yourself...maybe look at yourself instead of gettin so hateful towards the competition.

I don't know if this is wrong but I don't even really pay attention to 240sx ever. %99 of them are many colors and have rice mods and zip ties, they just remind me of a civic hatch's in 1998 except I don't see them with neon under glow. The other %1 of the time they possibly pass for the common fc and I actually take note of them.

The thing about the smackdown is its all in fun, the drift course is set up so you shouldnt be able to hurt your car, the drag race is a simulated stoplight to stoplight drag, so speed is kept down, the team competiton gets club members working and talking together. One of the highlights of the weekend is the saturday night cookout and party, you havent lived until youve seen the Dirty Drifters show up with the Tikki Bar mounted on the back of a golf cart.
The smacktalk is all in fun, to prompt other club members to step up and drive instead of TALKING about driving.
This is a TOTAL non snob car event. we even have teams coming from the HYUNDAI/KIA forums, its a rolling car show/ race where you get to sample 3 different types of competition, meet and drink with a bunch of other kool car people, and maybe generate bragging rights for a full year without the in your face competition level of an SCCA national autocross.
We dont care if their primered up first gens with stock 12a's, or full show s13's with blown sr20s, they are all welcome.

OK dont know if you guys were able to put together a team or not but
Early registration ends next FRIDAY (5th), judging by the VERBAL interest we are going to have a full house. We need to have your 10 member designated team PRE-Paid and registered by next Friday to lock in your spots!!
We will do our best to accommodate late comers and all that, BUT we cant get realistic runs running 300 cars. I don't want people mad at us cause they didn't get quality track time. The party is worth the trip for sure, but I want to ensure we are all understanding the challenges faced by this event.
we are planning on laying an autocross course that will allow 3 cars on course at a time, but even with that we may not be able to get everyone who CLAIMS they are coming a quality set of runs.
Packwood is huge, and we are going to try and lay out a 40-50 second AX course, with 3 cars on course, BUT allowing for the inevitable spin outs off courses etc and assuming we can run one car every 60 seconds, 3 runs each is going to limit us to 150 cars.
of even greater concern is the drift/ drag portions which are only 1/2 day, and the drift will almost CERTAINLY have allot of spin outs, which will make it necessary for allot of red flags ( 2-3 cars on course at one time)
My point is we HAVE to guarantee the 10 member points teams equal and quality runs, which is why we want them registered first, so we can get a handle on numbers, so waiting until Friday night Saturday morning (raceday) to decide on events and such, MAY leave you watching and not racing.
ITS GOING TO BE HUGE!!!

Packwood, Wa. There's a huge parking lot just out of town at a partially open wood mill. It's where the ProSolo's and National SCCA AutoX's are held at.

Too far for me to make in my Subie. I'd like to spectate at least.
There's a guy with a swapped 240 at school (college, not hs) who talks a lot of smack. But, his car's decent and he's pretty smart, so it doesn't bother me too much. He can't drive worth a crap though.
