Tim he did have a new intercooler, he probably put it on pre-crash days
JD ill IM you about the toyota motors
Aaron, it was pretty fucked up but lookin closely a lot of it was still worth saving, Yoonie was tellin me the guy at the body shop has all the parts needed to cut it and weld back together with new parts just needs a bumper support off the frame. 2g's out the door i think was the price after having it painted VR and he wanted around 8 for the car I just dont know if my dad wants to buy a car with a salvage title or else I'd have him jump on it lol pretty sick deal for an FD that should still be under warranty lol

Well based on the amount of work you said is needed I wouldn't trust a $2k repair. I'd buy the car and have someone else fix it. You're gonna tell me that less parts there is only $2k of work to be done. That's unheard of. A small fender bender requires that much in paint and labor now days. We're talking about an FD he paid $27k for and they totalled it... 70% value is what it takes to total out a car in most cases. That would mean $18,900 in damage... Unless they feel that the collectable value of the car is now gone because of the accident. That value can't be restored but prior to the accident it was a collectable car and should be treated as such. SO with that in mind, The shop is saying there is $2k in body work and $16k in parts?? Riiiiiiiiight

Vegas has friends that run their own body shops, thus giving him and the buyer a alternative shop at a good deal to fix it. This is why he claimed 2g's.
ohh and when a car is totalled (damages exceed 70% of the value pre crash, which wasn't 27k btw) insurance gives book value, they do not give one **** if you have 30k in engine upgrades, 10k set of volks or totally stock, miles and location and similar cars in the area are the only things they use to justify the value. Now if the previous owner had the car insured through a place that specialized in collector cars then it would be different. I just went through a similar experience with mine.

I'm going to assume Yoonie didn't try to get an appraisal for the collector value of the car and just ate the debt? Because if I paid 27k for an FD I'd sure as hell have an appraisal otherwise the insurance is only gonna give you about half what he paid... I have dealt with insurance companies enough to know how it works Aaron... I just can't see anyone concedign half the value of their car and not fighting for it

Good morning ya'll and to the top!
Sounds cool mort, looks like we're both quasi-artists in a weird way, it'd be nice to
run around at my job. The only big benefit I get is going to a lot of trade shows, I
did Vegas three weeks ago for a show and install, and last week I went to Miami
for a bit for another show.
Still waiting for that IM mang!
Duuuude, threaten me with a good time will you......
