Not new to NW or Rx7s, but new to...

Hello all.

Im new to rotary engines... as of yesterday.. gasp. Picked up the below car and thinking to depart from my previous builds of swapping ls engines into everything I can find.

It needs work! But it wasn’t cost prohibitive from a starting point and I want to see if I can get it back on the road on a budget. First is paperwork.. then shop (or myself) to prep for the DEQ test and surging idle. Any suggestions for that would be great!

Kai

It was The Spyder’s fault.

It’s one of those posts that you can look back and say. That’s when 20k cash went poof!

another fd molested.
Statistics indicate the molested are more likely to rape others.

Awww. The parts no one ever sees
Gotta love the 8.8.
Not sure about the ally flywheel. But we will see!
I think the header is backwards?... or...
Well. Well.
You my friend are coming out!
Strong rear end. But we are not messing around people!
Funny part. Most difficult thing was getting the sway bar out. And that was easy!
Ok. Yes.

I don't mind swaps as long as it looks/feels good when it's done.

Lots of work and a few bumps in the road (and changes).

What one?

383 or 427?

They both have their advantages. But we are going NA for now.

383 will have to wait for the other RX7.

Hello it’s time to get you prepped. Accessory drives tomorrow. I think I have a oil pump somewhere around here.

Test fit my mock motor in the bay. Wish I could keep it in there. But it’s a bit too much.

Managed to run some fuel lines. Went stainless. I plan to also redo the stock brake lines but need the correct double flare. Need to order some new dies.

Yes. Found them
I’m going to be running jiffy-tite quick disconnects on both the fuel filter and engine ends. This way I can make quick services without getting fuel everywhere.
Billet ally or Delrin fuel clamps? I’m digging the delrin. Need to make a few more
