NOS (New Old Stock)

What's with ads claiming NOS (New Old Stock) and they are really just old?

NOS is NEW!

Can the Mods help educate the people posting these misleading titles/descriptions (e.g. Don't allow the FS or a Sticky in the headings)?

NOS is New Old Stock, meaning it's never been used, and not newly manufactured. Prime example, is the Kamei front end I found. Still in packaging that had been sitting on a shelf for 25+ years. Big difference. I'd rather be using a REAL NOS Kamei that a new knockoff.
