New product

http://www.durafix.com/ Anyone tried this stuff? I checked them out, and went to youtube and watched several videos of different people trying it out for themselves, it appears to work. I'm going to order a small amount and try it. It could be a miracle worker for small projects and for stuff like modding intake vac lines and sealing stuff up. After all half the motor and accessories are aluminum. Fabbing small mounting plates etc. All that stuff that is a pain in the *** to weld.

Dosent work for large things. Its a very low temp melting aluminum "braze". Good for sealing a small crack on a hard line, but the repairs they show will never hold up to any form of use in a automobile. The welding/fab forum I am on has this pop up every 6-8 months and members who have tried it say its great for fixing that little cast aluminum toy, but you can not weld with it.

Cliffs: Crap, buy a real TIG if you want to weld aluminum.

Ahhh, ok. Thats why I asked. I just got rid of a brand new MIG I hadn't used in forever, and being the dumbass I can be, I'm contemplating a handful of Fab projects. LMAO! A TIG may be in the cards at some point. Nice to have when you need em'!

Yep. I need to get mine back from Afromotogt1978 (Adam), I finally ran the $500 worth of wire/conduit out to my shop so I can power the beast.

Last time I checked, a decent TIG fetched a grand or more though. Be awhile before I've got that extra layin around.
