New insurance for my fd

I recently got my fd insured thru hagerty insurance company. Allstate would not cover all of my aftermarket stuff. Anybody else have this kind of insurance on there car?
Hagerty is insuring my car for $35,000. Should be enough to cover everything in case of an accident. And it's only $60 a month.

Hagerty is fantastic, except they won't insure daily drivers.

How many miles are they allowing per year? If it is 5k or less, then I think I am going to go with them. Especially since I have a daily driver pickup and a kawi that i take to work on the nice days.

Also, did you consider the FD exotic on their website? or did you call them and get a special quote over the phone?

It is considered an exotic. I went thru my insurance agent at allstate to switch. You have to have a daily drive vehicle that is insured by someone else. It does not say in my policy about certain allowance miles a year, but i only drive my fd like 4000 miles a year.

I don't think Hagerty has a specific mileage limit (well they might on the FD since people do insure those as daily drivers... on "real" collector cars they don't), usually you are just under the normal rules for "pleasure vehicle" so you can drive it to the grocery store if you want, just not for commuting.

It's also "agreed value" not "stated value" which means that they will actually treat the car as the value you have declared provided that you have evidence the car is actually worth that much. "Stated value" means... well, it doesn't mean anything good.

You also have to have an enclosed private garage, which could be an obstacle for some.
