My RX7 Runs Great. I love it like no car i have ever owned. I have already had to replace a door handel, hood latch, Altenator, Oil pressure sensor and Secoundary air pump. but its all worth it.

And as far as the truck goes. Nothin like a little yota truck. It has a 22r with a 20r head. Its lots of fun in the mud.

If it's a 94, it should be an R2 and I thought the R2's didn't come with a sunroof but did come with front and rear spoilers.....

Either way, sweet lookin' FD dude.

Oh Really. My owners manual says R1. The owners manual could have come from anyware though. The inside of the door says it’s a 94, same with the registration i dont think it says R1 or R2 anyware. No spoilers or rear windshield wiper it does have a sun roof and it sits a bit lower than some other FDs' i have parked next to. Its bone stock. I will prob. sound like a newbie asking this but what is the difference from R1 to an R2 and a non R model?

R1's were only made in 92/93. In 94, they made several changes to fix some "bugs" found in the 93's and renamed the R1 to R2. R1/R2's have suede seats, front and rear spoilers and the suspension is tuned for a "sportier" feel. I think the R's did not have the sunroof or rear wiper options. Oh yeah, the R's came with a front strut bar and dual oil coolers also. Performance wise there's not real difference between the R's and non R's, though the dual oil coolers are nice to have. Anyway, it's nice to have an FD, any FD.

Mine must be the bastard step chiled. I dont have the rear winshield wiper. It sits one inch lower than my friends. It has a front strut tower bar. It has two oil coolers. But on the other hand i have leather interior, sun roof and no front or rear spoilers. Oh well even if its not a real R1 i love it.

It's probably just a slightly modified touring model. Regardless, white FD's are rare (and nice).

Yep it isn't an R1 or R2. The owners manual is not specific to the model. I'd be very surprised if the factory printed that in the owners manual.

You have a PEP (Preferred Equipment Package). It did not come with a rear wiper but it did come with leather and a sunroof. The extra oil cooler (is it a 5sp?) and strut brace are easy to add.

Your car sits lower probably because the upper shock mounts have squished some OR it has some lowering springs on it.

Either way there isn't really much difference between FD models, the sunroof is the only significant option.

If the car has lowering springs on it the car could look and seem stock especially to someone not familiar with the cars but it would be a bit stiffer and lower ride height.

Welcome! Glad to see another FD on here. I remember a while ago there was discussion about checking the VIN to find out which equipment package you have. As previously stated, not huge difference between packages. Still handles like a go-cart and the looks are timeless (to me)
